Mom, Thank You for Always Being My Biggest Cheerleader

You always have and always will cheer me on and be there to pick me back up, dust me off, and help me start again, stronger than before when life's challenges get me down.

I've grown up, moved out, found love, and began the beginning chapters of my own life as a little birdie who has spread her wings and flown away.

But mom, no matter where life may lead me, I just want you to always remember that I'll never outgrow your love.

Thank you for teaching me all of the things I needed to know to prepare me for this unapologetic world.

Thank you for all of the life lessons that taught me how to become half the woman that you are. And even the one's that, at one point in time, boiled every ounce of blood in my body.

You are my personal self-esteem booster upper, constantly reminding me how beautiful I am, and that beauty goes far deeper than the outside.

When things just didn't seem to be going right or when the whole world seemed to be against me, you are always my shoulder to cry on.

From when stupid boys broke my heart to putting a band-aid on my boo-boo's, you've always been my nurse, and I'd be lost without you.

Thank you for being my guidance counselor, and for guiding me down a church-based, God filled life path. For guiding me down the right paths (even when I had to figure it out on my own), and for redirecting me when I got off path.

Even the stupid girl drama at school, you always protected me and were my personal bodyguard.

So, Mom, thank you for forgiving me and loving me throughout it all, even in the times where I disappointed or unintentionally hurt you.

You've always been my cheerleader and for that, I am eternally grateful.

And mom, please never doubt my love for you. I may be growing up, but the little girl inside of me will always need her mommy.

My life is about as random yet as accurate as these posts. I don't know how my boyfriend does it, but bless his heart - he's the real MVP.  Twitter handle: WhyYesItsFaith Facebook URL: https://www.facebook.com/UnsolicitedThoughts/
