Social media shows us at our ‘prettiest’ or so the world likes to think. It’s a big filter of our life – while hiding so many things that truly make us, US.
Don’t get me wrong – as a young photographer, editing photos is one of my favorite things! Enhancing someone’s beauty and making them feel beautiful brings me so much happiness; however, it's important to remember that beyond a filter or the retouch button lies an even more beautiful person. A person with flaws, struggles, hard times, and lessons learned just like you and me!
Let me let you in on a little secret – it’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to have a messy chapter, to feel lost, to be broken, to embrace a ‘no makeup’ face, and it’s even okay to post an unfiltered photo to social media!
Jesus made you without a filter and doesn’t want you to hide his perfect masterpiece – that is you. You are more worthy than a filter so don’t let a ‘pretty’ filter mistake you for who you truly are. #wonderfullyworthy
