Things All Fast Food Employees Would Like You To Hear

Ok look, you go to a fast food restaurant and you order the food and you wait in line for the food. 

Then when you think it has taken too long you pull up to the window and furiously start your little tantrum of how you had to wait “forever” (5 minutes) for your food. 

BUT HERE'S THE KICKER…then we apologize and repeat your total to you (since you already heard it at the speaker when you first ordered) and you then proceed to rifle through your purse to find the exact change thus wasting time. 

Huh, well! Would ya look at that?

Did you ever think that maybe it’s the people like you that take up the time to get out your change (when you could have been doing that while you were waiting…instead of preparing your speech as to why we should hurry up) and not our fault?

?Hahahaha nah. That would be too easy. 

Long story short, we do not say the total at the speaker for fun, we say it to encourage our customers to please collect their change before reaching the window in order to move things along. 

I admit sometimes we don’t go as fast as you’d like us to, but I’d like for everyone to realize that we are human beings

Just because we work at a fast food restaurant, does not mean we are your slaves. 

Treat us with respect not only because it’s the right thing, but also because despite your yelling and fowl temper, we still proceed with a smile. 

If teenagers can do it, then I’m sure that you adults can manage it. Just saying.
