Almost everyone has dreams about having a perfect,
white picket fence family at one point or another in their lives.
Being a mom I'm here to inform everyone of a few things
BEFORE you decide to have a miniature you running circles around you.
#1. Sleep.
Sleep? WHAT IS SLEEP? Does it even exist anymore? I mean really…
Between the newborn stages, waking up to feed or those dreadful gas pains.
If you love your sleep, be prepared to give that part of your life up.
#2. Mommy Brain.
"What the hell is Mommy brain?" Is what you're probably thinking.
HAH. Let's just say, remember that thing you have to do next Tuesday?
Well, I don't. Memory loss at it's finest. (Lol) It's normal, no need to panic.
#3. FRAGILE.
I feel like babies need a sticker on their foreheads. "Fragile"
"Be careful with contents of package." Something like that….
#4. You WILL, I repeat, you WILL make mistakes.
It's OKAY! Breathe. Do not be afraid to ask for help. Babies can be
difficult at times and even exhausting. If you don't have help, lay the baby
down in a safe place and step away for a few minutes to gather yourself [:
#5. Breast or bottle??
WHO GIVES A FLYING…….(calm down Brit, calm down)
Feed your baby the way YOU feel comfortable. Just make sure it's not
like a steak or something completely crazy, hehe.
#6. Stages of the ages.
Newborn, terrible twos, threenager, the "why?" phase, the potty training.
It's a lot at times and you wonder if it will ever end… It will…..eventually!
#7. Let your children be children.
Let them get dirty, let them play, let them run wild.
Always make sure they are respectful, but let them be children.
Don't let your baby grow up too fast..
#8. It goes by FAST.
Before you know it you have a one year old, then a five year old,
then they are in school, then they are in high school, then they are graduating
and going to college then moving out.
Being a parent is the most rewarding job you will ever have.
CHERISH EVERY MOMENT!!!
