You walk around with the bravest of hearts and fiercest of spirits within you. You know how to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders yet take the time to comfort others anyway.
When storms blow and the winds, they get too strong, you stand up and fight through them even harder than before.
Never do you ever let the trenches of life get in your way. Never do you ever allow yourself to become self-consumed or self-seeking.
Instead, you lend a hand to any person you find needs it, always thinking and putting other peoples needs before your own.
When I look at you I see a man who isn’t afraid of deep waters. Like so many human beings are.
No, I see a man who finds bravery in treading the deep waters because he knows that he will always find the horizon. Even if it is the hardest thing he does, to get to the shore.
I see a man who doesn’t mask himself with a fake persona or inadequate behavior. He finds confidence in himself enough to be happy with himself and enough to be the best version of himself that he can be. You will never see him crumble into a ball under pressure.
Because he finds positivity and motivation in every situation. With every step you take, you make a move in a beautiful direction.
You have taught me so much about life. Living. Living fully. And even living humbly.
If I could bottle up every word that comes from your mouth during our conversations. I would. Because I find myself almost always learning something from what you have to say and finding myself reflecting on my own life or mindset because of your words as well.
I feel that I have found the bravest ma of all, like he’s my knight and shining armor. Always prepared for the fight, never backing down, and always giving it his all. You give and never take. You appreciate and never underestimate. And most of all you love me the most even when I don’t deserve it.
Your hand upholds me in my weakest night, and your voice speaks words of comfort and love when I’m in a lost mass of hysteria and anxiety.
When I feel like nothing in life is going good and everything is falling apart, you’re always there to somehow make way for the pieces to fit again. You make my life make sense when I just view it as chaos and confusion.
My insecurities sometimes get the best of me, like they get the best of everyone. Yet, you don’t let my mind wonder to those places for too long, because you can’t stand me feeling that way in those moments.
The thing is though love, you don’t always have to only be there for me. And it’s time for you to know that.You don’t have to be there for everyone else and forget yourself. You don’t have to always walk around with that great braveness and strength that you do. Don’t get me wrong dear, I truly admire all of these wonderful characteristics you possess.
I just don’t want you getting burnt out! I don;t want to see you put yourself on the back burner just to please others, including me. I also want you to know that I want you to grow. I want you to prosper in life and follow your dreams.
Wherever your heart and mind may lead you, I will be there right beside you. Always prepared to fight fir you and with you against all odds.
Always willing to lend an ear ti you when you need someone to listen. Even if it’s 3 a.m. and I have to be up for work in a few hours. Whatever the cost, whatever it takes, you will never have to feel alone.
So with all things that have been said there’s one thing left for me to ask of you. I want to ask that you don’t shut me out.
You don’t push me away or try to hold the world in your hands without any support. That you will accept that it is okay to be a man and need encouragement from time to time. And it’s even okay for a man as strong as you to even have moments of feeling weak.
None the less, know I will still look at you the same. I will still see my knight in his shining armor prepared to fight every battle.
I will still see a humble and meek spirit who gives generously and so willingly. A man of integrity and respect. Most of all, I will see the love of my life starring back at me through his big brown eyes in the beautiful moonlight.
