All my life I have been a free spirit and dreamed of traveling to faraway places, making friends worldwide and exploring the world that God has created for us.
I am in love with people. And nature. And adventure.
I am truly amazed by the places I have seen and the people I have met on my journey, but I do have to share one huge thing that I have learned along the way: And that is that this life is ours to explore and no one else's.
We should not be concerned of others' opinions of the choices we make.
I just made my second cross country move, and I was so worried about what people would say at first, but I eventually had to realize that the only thing that mattered was that I was doing this for me.
You will miss your bubble. Your comfort zone. You'll miss being able to just call a friend on a whim to go grab food. You'll miss your best friend being able to bring you wine and ice cream when you've had a bad day.
But the most exciting things happen when you choose to do things solo. When you go hiking somewhere for the first time and see the world in a whole new light. When you meet new people that you wouldn't have met if you weren't alone. It's so worth it.
You are being given the chance to wipe the slate clean. For real.
This is the most important and best part of starting over. New location, new friends, new coworkers. You are in the perfect position where no one knows you. Or your past. And you can reinvent yourself to be whoever you want to be.
Use that power to create the life you've always wanted!
Things aren't going to go as planned. You'll have to improvise along the way, but starting over is something we all go through at different phases in our lives. And it means something different for each person.
But no matter what your version of starting over is, it is going to teach you that you are strong, independent, determined and worthy of all the amazing things that this life has to offer!
