We have all done it, stuck around with a guy because he will change. Or “he was so great last week, even though he sucks this week.” WHY DO WE DO THIS TO OURSELVES.
I too wish that the guy’s I am with would change. That he would go from barley texting me, to sweeping me off my feet all the time. I put so much effort into this relationship, where is the effort from him?
So, what will make them change? Sadly, the answer is nothing. We are who we are. At some point when we meet someone special, we turn into a new person, and we may do things.
Don’t sit around waiting for a guy to change. Don’t change a guy. You shouldn’t have to change anyone to love you. As hard as it may be, as many chances as you may want to give this guy that you see so much potential in, you may just have to let go.
We want guys to change so they can meet our expectations, so why waste our time trying to change someone that doesn’t have these expectations? Find someone that already has these wants and these needs you have.
