To the Girls Who Made College Worth It

As graduation approaches I can't help but think about all of the memories made throughout the years. We are all about to go our separate ways and try to be "young professionals" and "adults" .

Holy shiz.nit .. what?!

Ladies, you have made this college experience better than I could've ever pictured as a high-schooler entering college. To be honest I never even wanted to go to college; I was afraid. I was going out of my comfort zone and leaving home to go to a place where I didn't know a soul.

That thought alone scared the absolute hell out of me…who I was gonna hang out with?

Now I look around & I am so happy to be surrounded by such amazing, bad ass, & goofy friends.

There's going to be countless things that I am going to miss …but I'll list a few that I'll never forget.

1. 3-AM Taco Bell runs

I am going to miss our late night car jams & runs to Taco Bell. It won't be the same without you ladies in the backseat screaming the lyrics to Shaggy's song " It Wasn't Me."

2. Ladies Free Drinks Night

Let's be honest, there's nothing like deciding an hour before free drinks that we want to go because one of us had a shit day or someone's boyfriend decided to be an asshole. I am going to miss our Uber rides together and going on a scavenger hunt to round everyone up at the end of the night. Some of you snitches will always disappear to go get food without telling anyone.I'm gonna miss you even though your sketchiness will always prevail.

3. Pulling all-nighters

Eww..I know..all-nighters..the word makes me cringe, but we are professional procrastinators. I am going to miss our late night pizza deliveries and hearing " I deserve to look at social media because I've been studying for 15 minutes." Oh and how about all of those songs we sang during our "deserved" breaks…pure magic.

4. Tinder Dates

LOL. I am NOT going to miss Tinder Dates, but I will miss hearing all of the stories. I will miss calling half-way through the dates to save you because the guy can't continue a conversation for the life of him. & I am really going to miss helping you choose whether to swipe left or right..that shit is pretty fun for some reason.

Don't worry, I can still call you for future tinder dates…just text the emergency word "pineapples"

5. Girls Night & Sleepovers

Pizza. Tacos. Hot fries. Hot Cheetos. Ice Cream. Wine/Beer.  YUM. I am going to miss the excuse to eat all the junk food our hearts desire and having you all there to make me feel not so guilty about it afterwards. There is nothing like a great girls night with music, movies, and junk food. I won't forget all of the inside jokes, stories, and memories made from those nights.

6. Spring Break

Haha. Need I say more? Nope. We will leave it at that. You ladies know the mistakes that were made into hilarious memories. I love you all.

7. Skipping Class

For whoever is reading this…I am not encouraging you to skip class in college. In college you have the choice and the freedom to skip if you please, just remember those participation points. Ladies, you made skipping class worth it on those shitty days where I didn't want to get out of bed..or if I had a hangover. I am going to miss those morning group texts – " SOOO who has a hangover from hell and wants to go get some greasy ass food to make it better?" – COUNT ME IN FOREVER.

8. Roomates

Wow ya'll. We have had some interesting roommate experiences; especially when we lived in dorms. Let's all take a moment of silence to remember those disgusting human beings and be thankful that our moms raised us right. AMEN! Thank you ladies for providing me a safe haven when my dorm room smelled like a fast food restaurant and body-odor( barf). I am going to miss being able to come over within a moments notice to see your shining faces.

9. Road Trips

This is so depressing to think we won't live close enough to pack a bag and take a road trip together. I am going to miss all of our road trips and throwing it back to the 90's jams. Every time I sing "No Scrubs" I'll think of you all. I'll miss the goofiness that shined through your personalities and the fact that ya'll would wave at every stranger who passed on the road.

Ladies…this list could go on forever because there's so many things I am going to miss about college and every single one of you.

Thank you – for being there for me, for loving me, for being a genuine human being, for all of the laughter, for being you, for the countless nights I will never forget.

Thank you for changing my life. I love you. Don't change.

Cheers to being adults. I hope to see you in the future.
