I know.

I know how hard it is to be trapped in the little box that society has created for you. I know everyone around you tells you that you should be grounded and direct and settled. I know that you feel so incredibly confused as to why you can't just be happy working in a cubicle and living in a 1,000 square-foot house with wood floors, half-dead plants, and white china in the cabinets.

You are so lucky.

You are so lucky to have such an open mind and such an open soul. You are the epitome of freedom in every sense of the word and others should be jealous of your ability to crush mountains and ride waves. Don't ever let anybody stop you or slow you down; you have been equipped with such a strong spirit and you have no reason to be sorry for it.

I know you want to go places, and fall in love with strangers, and find yourself and I hope you do. Your lack of a definite compass is your strongest asset-use it. Go different directions, go un-traveled directions, go every direction. You have no boundaries and no molds. Travel, take risks, talk to everybody, write, paint, take pictures, stay in scummy motels, listen to 80's rock, have sex with the cute cashier at target, drink, laugh, and never stay still. You are wild and unstoppable and you have a soul that is more brilliant than all of the constellations that dance in the sky.

Soak in eons of love and adventure in your one lifetime. The thing you will regret most is your choice to stay safe; don't make that choice. Don't shrink yourself to make others comfortable. You don't belong in an office or in a house with empty walls, you belong everywhere and everywhere belongs to you.
