To The "Wanna Be Farmer/Farmgirl"..

You have no idea what it's like living on a farm. You don't know about all the hard work that goes into keeping a farm up and running. The 6am birth of calves, the laying of irrigation pipe, and checking the wells in 95 degree weather, you probably haven't experienced any of that.

Farming is more than what you hear about in a country song. There is a lot of hard times and plenty of good times. Farm families go through a lot everyday to put food on the plate for their families and countless families across the world.

Contrary to what some believe, we don't just ride around in tractors all day. There is plenty of bale hauling and cutting down weeds in the pasture. If you don't come out soaking in sweat and covered in dirt, your mom will question if you even did anything that day.

So until you've actually experienced a day in the life of a farm family, don't act like you know what we do for a living.
