Why Deep Souls Love Country Music

Country music. I have found it to be true that people either hate it or love it, and most hate it. In the chance that I do find someone who is a country music fan I know I've found a deep soul.

Most say country music is all about a bunch of dudes singing about trucks, dirt roads, alcohol, and chicks. They are right, most songs involve at least one of those topics, but that isn't all country music is about. Every song is different based on the lyrics, voice, rhythm and each song holds a story. Deep souls can hear, relate and reflect on these stories.

We hear the tone of voice and feel what the artist feels. We listen to the lyrics and relate to the story being sung. We reflect on how the song relates to our lives and our situations. Sometimes they are even wake up calls about what we need to change in our lives.

Country music many times is a reflection of an artists personal life. It's genuine, vulnerable, and bold. Deep souls are all about genuineness in every aspect of our life. We don't take bull shit, dishonesty, disloyalty, and disrespect. So when it comes to our music we like it just the same. Our country music is loyal to us and we are loyal back. We appreciate the honesty, vulnerability and boldness each song holds.

If you are one of those people who hate country music that is okay, but don't diss it till you hear it. And by hear it I mean really hear it, hear what the artist is saying, you may just be surprised. Some of my favorite songs are listed below for you to give at least one of them a shot.

Dierks Bentley, "Riser," "I Hold On." Eric Church, "Homeboy," "Give Me Back My Hometown," "Talledega." Tim McGraw, "Humble and Kind." Chris Stapleton, "Fire Away." Keith Urban, "Raise Em' Up." Lee Brice, "I Drive Your Truck." Charles Kelly, "The Driver." Miranda Lambert, "The House That Built Me," "Automatic." Brooks N Dunn, "Red Dirt Road."

To all the deep soul country music lovers out there, which songs relate to you?
