Oh to be young and in love.
We all want it, we all find it, somewhere along the way.
But the thing is, we have to stop being so casual about committing ourselves to someone. We all have to stop thinking that the next best thing is out there.
Being with someone does not mean that you always have to agree, always have to spend every waking moment together.
But it does mean that if you're with them, you're with them.
You aren't looking elsewhere, comparing them to someone else who is smarter or funnier or cuter than they are.
If they are really yours and you are really theirs, why are you still looking?
Don't give up something real for something fun, because in the end, it never really works out the way we want it to and we end up regretting letting the one we love leave.
And giving them a reason to.
A person can only take so much.
So if you're in a relationship, then be all in it.
And if you're single, have fun, do your thing, chase as many people as you want.
But don't make the person who loves you hurt. Don't make them feel unwanted or unloved.
Because not only is it selfish, but it's wrong.
Appreciate what you have. Otherwise, sooner or later, someone else will.
