Why Weekly Dinner And Margarita Night With Friends Is A Must

We're on week 11 and it's only getting better.

It started off with just two of us making kitchen one night, with tacos and margaritas on a random week day. The best thing for a shitty week.

The next week it turned into three people making kitchen, more tacos and stronger margaritas. Teaching each other fun cooking tricks to make the tacos as authentic as ever.

As the weeks went on, we now have eight regulars packed into a too tiny kitchen every Wednesday. Occasionally with some extras sprinkled in. Dancing, and singing, all while making kitchen. Bumping into one another, and having people hold cutting boards because there isn't enough counter space.

Every new person has to take a double shot of tequila, as the rest of us do one in celebration.

As the bender rolls and the shells are fried, the kitchen is filled with laughter and love.

We've collected every empty tequila bottle and we're up to ten, stacking another on top of the cabinet as we'll finish it later.

As the food finishes cooking, everyone grabs an arm load of supplies and heads precariously down the stairs, out of the front door, around the house, to the backyard.

From there, it's more music, laughter, and drunken conversation. All it takes is a few good friends, and delicious food to make a boring weekday more fun. To take a step back from our grownup jobs and just be a 20-something group of friends having a family dinner.

The tacos and margaritas were just an excuse to get us together, and meet new people. But now I couldn't imagine my Wednesday any other way, and I'll hate the day it stops.
