Sometimes believing the worst will happen is easier than hoping for the best and receiving the worst. I'm here to tell you that you will never be happy as long as you do this.
It's the feeling of your heart suddenly dropping in the matter of seconds and trying to keep tears from rushing to your eyes. The feeling that your whole world is crashing down around you.
Nothing cuts deeper than disappointment. Whether it's hoping you get that promotion at work and they give it to someone else or loving so deeply to find out that they didn't love you the way that you thought.
"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear." – Nelson Mandela
When you experience the feeling of rejection, disppointment, or heartbreak so many times; it messes with your head. It makes you not want to let yourself be that happy or let yourself get excited about something, because you're so afraid that it will be taken away.
But that's life. You can't expect the highs without a couple lows. Depriving yourself of happiness for the fear of rejection or sadness is taking away one of life's greatest joys.
You'll miss out on living because of your self-fulfilling prophecy that everything will go wrong. But I am here to tell you that you deserve to have hope and you deserve to live your life to the absolute fullest extent. You deserve every ounce of happiness the world has to offer you.
Sometimes the best thing that will ever happen to you is disguised as the worst. So you have to take a leap of faith and commit to the jump. You have to trust that whatever happens is what you need to experience at that moment. You must be active in creating changes in your life. You and only you have the power to make change and make things happen through surrendering to your fears and doing things regardless of how scary, awkward and weird it might feel in those moments on total commitment to your fear.
It's ok to allow yourself to be vulnerable to fear, it's ok to be afraid and let yourself experience those emotions to the fullest. Only then, you'll be able to understand that fear is not your enemy but a life companion that will guide your instinct to take action in the right directions, so that you can achieve your goals and experience your unlimited potential.
You deserve to take a chance on you because no else will. You have one life to live, so live it to the fullest.
