“Mistake.” It’s a word that everyone is familiar with. It is a word that everyone has experience with. That everyone has tasted and a word that everyone has spit out towards someone else.
If you’re a living, breathing human being, you have made a mistake. Probably more than you can even count.
Some of your mistakes you regret and some of them, you don’t. Not every wrong choice you make ends up altering your life in unimaginable ways, but some of them do.
Your mistakes may not make a huge impact initially….but at some point, they might.
Sometimes, a mistake needs time to grow, to manifest into what it is capable of becoming, to reach its full potential of destruction in your life.
They are choices that do ultimately shape who we are whether we like it or not.
Remember that though your mistakes affect you, they do not define you.
You are bigger than any of your mistakes. Your wrongdoings, your bad choices, your tragic outcomes are not what define who you are. The choices that you make now are what truly define you.
Everyone is capable of change. Everyone is capable of becoming whoever they want whenever they want.
You are the author of your story and you’re completely in control of yourself and the outcome of your life.
You are still going to continue to mistakes, you are human and to expect perfection of yourself is an absolutely asinine, unachievable expectation.
All you can do is learn from your past and remember that it’s your actions today that are the truest reflection of who you are.
