When I was growing up, I was surrounded by strong, independent, beautiful women who, in turn, taught me how to be strong, independent, and beautiful. 

 

Some of these lessons included how to wash my own laundry and cook my own meals. And some of these lessons were the value of a good education. Some of these lessons taught me to never give up on myself and to always persevere. 

From little to big, all of these lessons have shaped me into the ambitious, driven, and independent woman I am today.

It’s liberating to be an independent woman. I rely on myself, I’m perfectly capable of taking care of myself, and I never have to worry about how I’m going to survive.
