8 Signs He's the Right Guy for You

We are all tired of looking for that Mr. Right, only to discover that Mr. Wrong.

But, it happens time and time again.

So, here are some telltale signs to keep an eye out for when you think you’ve found someone special…

1. He listens and you remembers.

One sure-fire way to know if you’re just someone’s “hit it and quit it?”—or side bitch if you prefer— is to see if he’s attentive when you speak.

Does he remember the names of your closest friends?

Does he know that you have no fondness for flowers, a hate for pizza, and a love for puppies?

Does he know your favorite foods, your favorite songs, or your favorite shows?

Because, if he does… he’s interested in getting to know you– far beyond the walls of the bedroom.

2. He treats you the same around his friends as he does when you two are alone.

He is not afraid to hold you tight, place your head on his chest, and play with your hair as you watch a movie with him and his boys.

He’s more worried about what you’ll think of his friends, then what his friends will think of you.

He doesn’t need anyones approval, he knows that you’re the girl for him.

He has already reassured you that there is no doubt his friends will love you, but you can tell he’s more concerned about making sure you’ll love them too.

3. You feel safe and secure at all time.

Something about his presence just makes you feel protected.

He is always looking out for you and making sure that you know, whenever something goes wrong, he’s always here to help.

From the times he’s said, “Drive safely babe!” to the texts that have read, “Did you get home okay?”

When you’re in his arms, everything in the world just seems so right.

4. You always find yourself smiling at the thought of him.

Ok, or everyone else calls you out for smiling at the texts from him…but, maybe a bit of both!

You have nothing but good things to say about him.

He’s sweet, considerate, thoughtful, funny and so much more.

You remember the little things he’s said to you that made your heart skip a beat and the cool air fill your lungs.

You’re no longer just smiling with your mouth, but also with your glossy, love-filled eyes.

5. He’s on your mind at 2 am and 2 pm.

You think about him at breakfast, you think about him on the train, and you think about him at work.

He’s on your mind throughout the day, not just at night when you’re lonely and want someone to cuddle with.

You think about him and want to be with him at all hours of the day.

He’s on your mind because he’s truly special, he means something to you, and not because he fills a void.

6. You love the way he treats his mother.

The way a boy treats his mother is a direct correlation to how he’ll someday treat you.

When he tells you that— he’s about to help his mom make dinner or that he’s going with his mom to the cemetery, so she doesn’t have to wish her late father a “happy father’s day?? alone— you can’t help but see how undoubtedly charming and thoughtful he is.

7. You’re never afraid to be yourself around him.

You never have to worry about him loving you any less or thinking of you any differently.

So what if you have an emoji addiction?

So what if you’re terrified of pet Goldfish?

So what if you’re wearing no makeup and pajamas when he shows up to your house?

You have no shame because he gives you no reason to.

8. He makes you thankful for all the wrong turns you’ve made in the past.

As much as you wish that he had shown up a bit sooner, he makes you feel grateful for the wrong turns you’ve made in the past that eventually carved the right turn that lead to him.

He’s the boy that takes you on romantic, thoughtful dates.

He’s the boy that tells you that when he heard the song “Fall for You”, by Secondhand Serenade, on the radio— he thought of you.

He’s the boy that makes you wish hugs were endless, and time were infinite.

You would gladly go through the wrong turns— filled with pain and heartache— all over again if you knew that he would still be your final destination, your Mr. Right.
