You’re Stronger Than You Seem and Smarter Than You Think

You’ll find yourself stuck in the mines with the ghosts that inhabit them, slowly becoming just like them; never living a life of your own decisions, your own wants, your own needs. You’ll become a prisoner, shackled and confined to an eternity that you never wanted, just like them.

It will never be easy. You have to work to be better, to optimize yourself in ways you could never imagine. You have to work to not lose your temper as quickly and to hold your tongue when you’re close to saying something you will later regret.

Maximizing your potential and realizing your worth is one of the hardest things you will ever do in your life. Some people give up on themselves too soon. It’s natural to want to stop trying. It’s okay to wonder what the point of it all is. It’s normal to feel like nothing you do will ever be good enough, or that there will always be someone out there better than you.

But to let it consume you is the one mistake you will never, ever be able to overcome. Learning to love yourself again after letting yourself down for the umpteenth time is a painful journey, and a lonely one sometimes too.
