I Don’t Need You To Rescue Me, I Just Need You To Stand Beside Me

 

I need you to know that I will do anything in my power to always remind you how important you are to me, to know that I will never take you for granted. I need you to not worry so much if I’m judging your boyfriend skills because there is no such thing as perfect and the man you are is perfect to me.

I don’t need you to be anyone other than yourself because I fell for the man that you are. Don’t stress the small things, like thinking you aren’t doing this dating thing right, or that you aren’t like some of the other guys out there because I don’t want you to compare yourself to them.

I already feel like a winner because I have you.

I need someone who is going to tell me to stop being such a bossy smart-ass, someone who is going, to be honest with me even when I don’t want to hear it and someone who is going to support me in all the decisions I make about life.
