She showed him his true worth. And when he finally saw it too, he left.
He finally could see himself through her eyes. He saw that he was everything she raved about him and more. It was the first time he genuinely loved himself.
And because of that, her love just wasn’t good enough for him anymore.
Every day she told him that he was he deserves better than her, he’s way out of her league and doesn’t understand how she got so lucky.
She never thought he’d actually believe her. Because now that he knows how much he’s worth, apparently, it’s more than her.
Now, she’s the one who can’t see her worth. The one left broken and hurt, who feels unworthy.
Maybe someday, someone will help her grow again. Maybe someone will show her that she’s worth more than she’ll ever know, as she did for him.
But when she does see her worth again, she won’t leave. Because he taught her what it feels like to love someone until it hurts and he showed her how to stay.
He may have learned his worth and left her, but she would never do that to someone else.
