To The Guy Who Thought I Didn’t Deserve The Truth

 

In October outside of that small coffee shop on the corner I could not see how the appearance of sincere tears were filled with trickery. You begged me for another chance. And you knew you made a mistake in letting me go early that summer.

 

You said we could finally build the future we both longed for if we took our time to rewrite our history. So tell me, how did I end up crying in the middle of a crowded place a few moments before the new year arrived?

 

You had done it again because it’s what you do best. Without a hint of remorse, you left the woman you were with for the newness of another.
