What The Heck Are They? The Scoop

Gas grilling on the go. The Weber Q Series Portable Gas Grill comes in a myriad of bright fun colors.

What They Say

Lil Grill. Big Performance

Go hiking in nature with a grill as vibrant as the scenery. Travel on or off the beaten path, camp in the woods or near the shore. Explore the world with big taste and your Q 1200 portable gas grill by your side.
Don’t let the size of this colorful grill fool you. Small enough to fit on a city balcony, large enough to execute an entire meal, with convenient side tables to place spices and marinades.

The Q grill sparked the growth of a new category in the barbecue industry- portable grilling. In the early 2000’s, a timely collaboration between Jim Stephen, CEO Weber-Stephen Products Inc, and Bob DeMars, CEO of Original Ideas, Inc, the line of Q grills and products was born. Bob DeMars is a California based innovator, and idea generator, and Jim saw in Bob’s concept of the Q grill an innovative approach that has stood the test of time. The Q grill can be found in backyards, patios, decks, tailgates and picnics all over the world.

Discover the best of all worlds. A modern gas grill that sits pretty on your patio, with the power of two burners. Small enough to fit in a smaller yard yet big enough to grill an entire roast. Explore your options with the Q 3200 gas grill. Also available in a natrual gas option.

Ease of Use, Packaging?

Grill comes over 90 percent assembled. Their app helps for under five minute assembly. Simple instructions and easy to set up. You can grill with or without the stand. Q heats up to 500 degrees with a turn of a knob.  Can be used with portable propane cylinder tanks.

Are They Affordable?

Cost is very affordable and starting just under 200.00 USD for a basic model and ranging upwards to 450.00 for titanium and natural gas Q models. The stand costs 89.00

Would I Purchase Them?

I bought a Q Series Weber about five years ago. And I am starting to use it more now as I grill in quarantine.

Would I Recommend Them?

Big grill taste in a mini portable gas grill. The Weber Q series is easy to navigate gas grilling and lightweight enough to take along on a camping trip. I use mine once a week, lately. And I have gotten more than my money’s worth. I would like to buy the griddle accessory for camping. Could make great hotcakes on this grill. It heats up fast. Great for someone with a smaller outdoor space, or an on the go, camper.

The Down-low on the Downside

Each 16 ounce liquid propane tank will last only about two hours each. There is no warning as to when these run out, so always have one or two handy. You can get a pack of six here.

Our Overall Rating 4.9 out of 5
