One Bottle of Wine Can Take You on an Adventure of a Lifetime

Throughout cultures, sharing a bottle of wine can cultivate meaningful relationships. Wine acts as a destroyer of barriers and allows an individual to be vulnerable with others sipping from the same elixir. It is needless to say that a bottle of wine is exactly what you should be craving right before planning an adventure of a lifetime with a group of soul-bonding sisters.

Pop

Cling

Sip

As humans, we are social creatures of habit and planning every girl’s trip should consist of these four stages while sharing a bottle of your favorite wine.

The Catch Up Stage

The First Glass- a.k.a the first ripple

You begin by unlocking memories of the others to discover what they have been up to from the last time you all have been together. Initially, everyone goes around and speaks solely of their peaks. Pictures are presented, videos are viewed, stories are shared, and amazement appears as an apparition across the room. We are accustomed to display our best selves during this stage, and there is nothing wrong with that because every single one of us is beautiful in our own way. We deserve to brag about how great we are. However, I challenge you to dive into the second stage as you take another sip out of that delicious juice of vulnerability.

Dig In Deep

These are your girls in front of you and they should never judge you for being your most authentic self. Reveal to them what has been keeping you up at night, have those difficult conversations, talk to them about your mental health. I guarantee these women will provide you with a helping hand. Sometimes it takes breaking down your walls for others to break down theirs, with that a deeper bond is engraved, and commonalities are brought up to the surface.

Revealing Your Spark

You are defenseless right now and deserve to inhale that glass of wine, so just do it.

While you have a nice buzz going, prepare a mental list of your passions and desires, then without any hesitation, speak it into existence. What are things you have never done before? Where are places you have always wanted to go? And always give the reason why. Answering the why’s in life reveals parts about yourself you may have not been familiar with. Once again, find the commonalities in these questions; they should be quite obvious, look for the spark in your friend’s eyes when they resonate with something you are discussing. Such a spark will invoke a plethora of ideas and there is only one thing left to do.

Time to Be Spontaneous

You’re feeling impulsive like Jim Carry in the movie Yes Man

There is only one thing left to do.

Block out those dates,

Lock in that reservation,

And clock into a new adventure.

As soon as you know it, wine night is going to be a ritual to not only reveal who you are, rather help you discover who you are yet to be.

I leave you with this quote by my favorite author Paulo Coelho from his novel Brida, “Accept what life offers you and try to drink from every cup. All wines should be tasted; some should only be sipped, but with others, drink the whole bottle.”

Be vulnerable

Find your soul sisters

Live life as if you had nothing to lose because at the end of the day every moment taken for granted is a loss in itself
