They say big things come in small packages. This was Ruth Bader Ginsburg. A woman who showed all women that no matter what if you work hard and persevere you can achieve your dreams.
As a wife with an ailing husband and children to take care she achieved her Law Degree. She achieved this when it was rare to see a woman in the workforce, let alone a woman with a powerful career in law. Even more rare, would it be, that she was a working mother. She would make achievements all the way to the supreme court fighting for justice of America. And she became one of the most influential justices of our time earning the title, Notorious RGB. She was a force to be reckoned with. And she would go on to fight for equality for everyone in our country. Because she just wanted to do what was right for all Americans. So that everyone could have a fighting chance to succeed here. Without the risk of those chances dashed on the basis of race, sex, religion, or anything else that could stand in the way of a person trying to achieve the American dream.
It is my belief that the people that we hold so dear to this Country like Ruth Bader Ginsburg are still with us in spirit. Yes, it is their time to rest now and our time to fight. But with their legacy and guidance from the other side inspiring us, we can keep up the fight that they devoted their lives to. Because we have a responsibility to make this country a place where everyone can succeed and where justice will prevail. Let’s not let her legacy go to waste. Read her story. You will find that she was an everyday woman who fought for her right to have the career that she always dreamed of. And she did so, with a family by her side. So she not only fought for her self, but her daughters and all of the mothers and daughters of this country. In this fight she would also fight for men and for other races and religions.
Yes, her death is a great, horrific, loss. And she will have a legacy that will live on forever. However, it is now our responsibility to make sure as she watches from the best seats in the house that we do her and all those great Americans who have served and fought for us to have the rights that we do, to keep fighting.
So, I am going to put my battle suit on. I will stand at my polling place in November. and I will cast my vote and I will do so knowing that I am casting the vote that will continue her fight for equality, fairness, and love. Because I am going to cast my ballot for all of those who made sacrifices and fought for me to have the rights I have today, as a woman. And follow her lead, and now mine. Because I am going to fight for you and your family when I cast my ballot.

May Ruth Bader Ginsburg and all of the fallen heroes that have fought for this country be in a better place. And let them rest easy, as we work hard to elect the next great legislators and leaders as we continue to fight.
