Fall Into these 7 Autumn Beauty Trends

Fall is here which means spooky season, pumpkin everything, cozy sweaters, and new beauty trends. Whether you’re a makeup professional or just dabbling here and there, there are some trends you need to try.

1. Natural Base Makeup

What is base makeup, you may ask? Think whatever you usually put on first: foundation, concealer, setting powder… The things that are the base of your makeup. This season, natural is in. For my people who may not feel like they can go natural (hello, acne-prone skin), there are ways to make your full-coverage makeup look natural so it looks like you’re not wearing a dang thing.

2. Cream Everything

Cream makeup users rejoice! Cream products are back in. With today’s market, no matter your skin type, you’ll be able to find cream products that work for you. Here are some foundations you can try based on your coverage preference:

  • Light coverage: it Cosmetics CC cream+ – think tinted moisturizer (usually with SPF)
  • Light-to-medium coverage: Maybelline New York Dream Fresh BB cream – barely there, buildable coverage
  • Medium coverage: NARS Sheer Glow Foundation – easily buildable coverage
  • Heavy coverage: e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation – fewer applications necessary

3. Soft-Lined Eyeliner

In the past, we’ve seen one trend for eyeliner be harsh, precise lines. This season, one eyeliner trend is softer application. What does this mean? Grab a q-tip and smudge those lines. For those with unsteady hands, this trend is made for you.

4. Burnt Blush

In the past, bubblegum blush was in. Bonus points if it had shimmer. For this fall, trade that bright pink for a darker, richer, red-ish pink. Think dark roses and brown-based colors. With these shades, you won’t need much, but just as darker-colored clothes come into play for the fall months, so should your blush.

5. Silver Inner Corners

There are a few great things about this trend. One: it takes virtually no time. Two: it looks like it took you waaaay longer than it did to do your makeup. Three: it will make you look more awake. Those are all worth-it things in my book. Makeup stores sell individual shades of grey, as well as cream or liquid forms you can dab in the corners of your eyes.

6. Goth/Smokey Makeup

I have been doing all-around black eyeliner since I first picked up a makeup product in middle school, and I know there are others who have, as well. For those of us, our trend is back! Goth makeup is back in. Think dark shadows, liners, lip colors, and anything else you can find in black, dark purple, or whatever other dark color that makes your little dark heart happy.

7. Glass Lips

Gloss is back in! This may not make it easy when it’s windy – I suggest investing in a claw clip for those days you want that glossy, glassy, mirror-like look. With just about every makeup brand that’s out there, you can find a glossy lip color, whether that’s colored, clear, or sparkly.

Fall is upon us whether we’re ready or not. Grab some friends and plenty of PSLs and hit up your local makeup store to stock up on products for autumn 2022.

5 Rising Trends in the Makeup Industry

Makeup has been used for centuries by people from all walks of life. In ancient times, makeup was not only used for beauty but protection as well. Ancient Egyptians believed that using kohl as eyeliner protected them from the sun rays and stares that would bring bad luck, i.e., the Evil Eye. Modern makeup endeavors improve a person’s appearance, protect the skin from harmful ultraviolet rays, and delay aging. Some current trends when it comes to makeup are;

Focus on Skincare

People are more conscious of their health habits now more than ever. Besides eating healthy foods, drinking enough water, and exercising, skincare is a big part of a healthy individual. There are supplements for healthy skin as well as regimes that people follow each day. For instance, the Korean 10-step regimen is quite popular. And as you know makeup in Korea is quite developed, and that is why mostly all the affordable and high quality makeup and skincare products are made in Korea.People are now more concerned about taking care of their skin and using makeup to add to natural beauty hence minimalist makeup.

Use of Organic Ingredients

Organic makeup is made free from synthetic additives. There has been a shift in the way makeup is manufactured. We now prefer to look good and protect the environment at the same time. This has prompted manufacturers to use non-synthetic materials in products. The use of biodegradable packaging containers is also part of organic makeup. Brands are being held accountable for their ethical practices when manufacturing. For example, if the products are cruelty-free, meaning that they have not been tested on animals. Organic makeup is believed to contain more nutrients that nourish the skin. Women and men alike want to use clean makeup products that won’t risk their health.

Semi-Permanent Makeup

If you lead a busy life with little to no time to do your makeup in the morning, then semi-permanent makeup has you covered. You can get your nails done by adding acrylics and gel polish that lasts longer than regular nail polish. With the introduction of microblading and microshading, your eyebrows can now always look great at any time. An eyebrow technician with the best permanent makeup machine can give you brows that require little to no attention after the healing process. Wearing masks has become a necessity in modern times. To avoid smudging every time you take off your mask, you can opt for semi-permanent lip blushing. You can have false lashes added to your natural eyelashes for fuller and longer brows to achieve this effect. If you decide to get all the above procedures done, it takes less time to get ready in the morning.

Rise in Self-Care and Personalized Packages

In the year 2020, when the pandemic hit, we all had to stay indoors to keep safe. This meant that we couldn’t go to a beauty spa for our regular facial and thus the rise in do-it-yourself alternatives. Most people had to rely on products they had made themselves due to lack of access to products they were accustomed to. As we are slowly getting back to interactions, makeup brands are now offering personalized packages instead of a one size fits all approach. You can now go to your favorite online store, take a test and get makeup selected to fit your needs. We all used our laptops more than usual during the pandemic. Makeup brands make products that protect your skin from the free radicals emitted by blue light that cause sagging and dark spots. You can get a foundation or sunscreen to protect you from blue light that you should wear even when indoors.

Illusion Makeup

This is a new and popular trend that has gained momentum in recent times. With illusion makeup, the artist can draw anything the client desires. This type of makeup is popular in the performing arts and, more so during Halloween. The final result can be confusing to look at and even dizzying. A makeup artist can transform a person’s face to look like five pairs of eyes or like a skull. Certain artists have made a name for themselves from the intricate illusions they are able to create.

These trends have been given rise by current events such as the pandemic and also a desire to do better for ourselves and the environment.

7 Beauty Trends That Never Go Out Of Fashion

Fashion trends may come and go, but evergreen classic beauty trends have survived the test of time—the little black dress and smokey eye trump purple lipstick and glitter eyeshadow anytime. Not to mention there are also some hideous styles and trends that we’d never want back anytime soon. But that’s another conversation altogether. Today, we’ll talk about what works and what will make you shine.

If you are trying to walk into a party in style or simply trying to feel good, make sure you have these seven beauty trends at your fingertips. These will up your game, boost your confidence, and prepare you to take on any challenge.

There’s nothing more glamorous than the natural look.

Less is more. And when it comes to beauty, there is nothing more apt than minimalistic. You’d be surprised what a simple lipstick, mascara, and eyeshadow can do to enhance facial features. Beauty is, after all, enhancing our natural features, right? Give those funky colors a break, and go with a simple nude lipstick. Simple, elegant, and beauty personified. Try this and see how it can leave your friends and family in awe. Also, you can try some natural remedies such as cbd tinctures from tranquil for a natural glow.

Make that enamel shine bright.

Nail paint is like your best friend. It completes your look, and when you make sure to complement it with the rest of your attire, you can be a star. Nail art has undoubtedly exploded in the last few years, and the gel nail polish kit is something manicurists swear by. Why? Gel nail polishes fortify your nails with enough padding and prevent chipping when you dig into your handbag for essentials. Pick a gel nail polish kit from the several options available on the market and get ready for some gorgeous nail colors.

Flaunt your style with the eternal smokey eye

You can be simple yet show off the soul to your beauty – your eyes like a pro. Use a simple eyeshadow and eyeliner and create an intense look that no other glitter makeup can provide. The smokey eye probably came into being in the 60s and the 70s and has stood the test of time. Starting from silent movies up until the recent red carpet, we’ve seen women flash their smokey eyes, being sophisticated, edgy, and glamorous at the same time.

Give wings to your eyelids.

Another classic trend that is future-proofed is the cat-eye or winged eyelids. And who better to endorse the cat-eye than the beautiful Audrey Hepburn? Her iconic eyes are not something we’d forget soon. Thin and thick eyeliners have come and gone, but the winged eyeliner is a sure shot winner. With hacks like using scotch tape as a stencil, you can create the perfect cat eye look for yourself and make your eyes speak volumes.

The legendary Little Black Dress (LBD)

Back to Audrey Hepburn again. Who can forget the classic LBD from Breakfast at Tiffany’s? We cannot thank Coco Chanel enough for this beautiful invention that has left us captivated for years. The perfect cocktail dress pairs up easily with other everlasting beauty trends like smokey eyes and neutral lipstick that can make any girl look gorgeous. Hey, even Jennifer Lopez and Queen Bey swear by it, so what’s stopping you?

The versatile Black Pumps

Think twice before you rule out the black pumps as boring. Invest in these versatile shoes and transform your regular outfit into something unique and classy. What’s better? You have a range of options to choose from-he classic black suede, pumps with a platform or pointed heels, thin heels, or the pointed toe. Skirts, cropped pants, tights, cocktail dresses, or slim slacks, the black pumps are the perfect match made in heaven for these outfits.

Finally, the eternal jeans

Need we say more? How many of us have thrown in our favorite pair of jeans when we have nothing else clean and dry in our wardrobe. Well-fitting pair of jeans, whether it’s any of these – casual, slim fit, regular, high waist, dark wash, cut-off, or ripped is a must-have for everyone. Age-defying, everlasting, and forever chic, denim can never go wrong.

These are just some of the beauty trends to enhance your beauty and help you shine. What to avoid? That’s another long list, but it’s best to stay away from drawn-on brows, frosted lipstick, head-to-toe denim, fake tan, and the mullet.

Remember, beauty is within. There is no other garment better than confidence, and no other makeup better than a smile that can help you conquer even your worst days. Get up, take a nice long bath, throw in the bath salts and enjoy some me-time. Give yourself the perfect makeover, and get ready to conquer the world!

Sheet masks have been all the rage in recent years, but model Lily Aldridge is all about the eye masks that are trending right now. It sounds like a trend we can all get behind!

Retinol & Lactic Acid

Shani Darden, a celebrity esthetician, has always recommended retinol, but she’s really loving the combination of retinol and lactic acid that’s trending right now. She uses the combo daily and says it’s an excellent multi-tasker for boosting collagen, minimizing wrinkles and fine lines, keeping acne at bay, and fading hyperpigmentation. Whether you find one product that has both ingredients or use them separately, this combo can really transform the skin!

At Home Micro-Needling Tools

Until recently, micro-needling was only available at your esthetician or dermatologist’s office. But Beauty Bio has released an at-home micro-needling tool called the GloPRO.
