Twitter Is Dying Over This Super Extra ‘Mother Of The Bride’ Dress

Outshining the bride on her big day is the greatest wedding faux pas imaginable. Outshining the bride on her wedding day while simultaneously being her mother—now that’s a sh—ty MIL trope we can all get behind.

Twitter user @_sashayed recently found THE most extra ‘mother of the bride’ dress on Etsy, and promptly posted it to Twitter where it went understandably viral.

While on first glance, it appears to be a Morticia Addams costume, or perhaps the perfect attire for a goth party (is this a thing?), Etsy seller Tonena has the gown labeled specifically as a “mother of the bride dress.” (Though we’d argue it’s a bit more “stepmother of the bride” dress.)

Additional descriptions include: “Open back evening gown with long sleeves, Sexy formal dress with feathers, sexy black dress.” Tonena knows the mess she’s tryna create with this gown!

The Bulgarian-designed gown features sheer black sheer panels, a feather skirt,  and an open back—though Tonena writes that it can be closed up for those “aiming for a more conservative look.”

Is this howthey do weddings in Bulgaria?

If so, sign me tf up!

Twitter immediately began referencing film and television characters who would be all over this look.

Or just imagining the incredible mother who would wear a gown so very…beyond.

Tonena’s gown will set you back a whopping $2,390.00, but future MIL’s, don’t fret—there are other, slightly more affordable designs, including this “mother of the bride” (OR! “mob’swife”! gown)

And—if black isn’t your color—this sexy white “couture mother of the bride” look to really put your daughter in her place.

Listen, if you don’t try to start some s—t at your daughter or daughter-in-law’s wedding, are you even any fun? (No.) Here’s to hoping we get more Bulgarian wedding invites in 2019.

This Broke Bride Tried To Get A Makeup Artist To Work For Free, And The Exchange Is Infuriating

Who doesn’t love sharing a good bridezilla story?

An exceptionally entitled bride emailed makeup artist u/MandieKitty requesting free makeup on the day of her wedding in exchange for “portfolio photos.” The bride’s reasoning was that she’s a local “model” offering the makeup artist work as a “collaboration” when in reality, she’s just broke and/or cheap.

The email exchange got blasted to Reddit, where nearly three thousand upvoters and commentators weighed in on the situation. Here’s the bride’s initial email:

MandieKitty replied in a scolding but much-deserved manner that free makeup services aren’t a thing, and certainly not a collaborative effort when the makeup artist in question is the only vendor working for free.

In reply, the bride called OP dumb and unprofessional. So the makeup artist promised to forward the bride’s request far and wide (in Sacramento, anyway), to ensure no other artists even consider blessing bridezilla with their services.

First of all, people wondered, why not budget for makeup but budget for everything else?

Secondly, why bother including the fact that literally everyone but the MUA was going to be paid?

THIRDLY, the 2 cents line…makes no sense.

If you don’t work for free, don’t expect others to do so! Thank you!

Bride Threatens Bridesmaids With Forced Lie Detector Test After One Leaked Her Outrageous Demands

When it comes to weddings and demands, most brides expect a lot from their friends and family. It’s no secret that women want their special days to be “perfect,” and almost always that means spending a lot of money. But, recently, one bride went viral online for her outrageous list of demands she gave all of her wedding guests.

The original post was put on her Facebook page and outlined a very specific request for outfits from all the guests. The wedding, which is “a year away in Hawaii,” broke down what each guest should wear according to their gender, age, and weight. Additionally, the bride said her guests should plan to spend $1,000+ for their outfits (not even considering the trip itself and the wedding gift).

After many people who saw the post screenshotted and reshared it online—trolling and shaming her—the bride went back to social media to respond to all the negative vibes being thrown her way. Not only did she shame “whoever it was who posted it again,” but, she also said she was going to have all her friends and family over for a “Polygraph Party.” Yes, that’s right, she wanted to have people over to take a lie detector test just to find out who reposted her original attire request. Talk about insanity.

After her long-winded explanation and more yelling, more people on Reddit were honest.

She’s just a gift that keeps on giving.

Meanwhile I would certainly trust a $100 lie detector bought off Amazon. /s

I hope it reads like everyone is lying. Even her husband.

Damn, she really suffers from a bad case of god complex

Haha. Spiritual healers. Get the fuck out of here with that bullshit.

Anyone over 160 pounds represents the devil that she wants to get rid of… I’m sure they feel super welcomed at her wedding!!

I have to agree—I’ve seen crazy brides, but this…this is insanity.
