This Mom Had The Best Response When Her Daugher’s Gay Friend Wanted To Come To Her Sleepover

We all have fond memories of sleepovers. Staying up late, watching crappy romantic comedies, talking about crushes and… other things. You may be glad to know that they’re still happening. I know I was, when I saw this story about a young man named Mason who wanted to attend a sleepover at his friend Houston’s house.

Thing is, Mason is a boy and Houston is a girl. That’s usually a no-go because of parents and deep concerns about their kids ever growing up. However, in this case, Mason is gay. So WHAT NOW, MOM?

Well Mason, a considerate gentleman, decided to just go ahead and ask Houston’s mom if it’d be okay if he, a boy who is not interested in any funny business with her daughter, joins the sleepover. That’s when the mom had the perfect response:

Looks like the only thing Houston is concerned about is a late-night husband seducing. Fair.

Mason found the response welcome and hilarious, and naturally, so did the internet.

And importantly, more info on this hot dad was requested ASAP:

And Mason and Houston are having to adjust to being “Gaymous”

Professor Keeps A Running List Of New Slang Words He Learns From Students And It Slaps

As a teacher, I always learn a lot from my students. Sometimes, I learn things I definitely could have gone the rest of my life without knowing, but, other times, I learn a whole lot. One of the biggest lessons I get every day in the classroom is vocabulary. While I like to think of myself as a “young, relatable” teacher, there are tons of slang words that I have no idea about—even if I am only 26-years-old.

It seems that I’m not the only educator who thinks this way. Recently, Twitter user @mewtaliv2 shared photos of a running list their Professor keeps of new slang words he learns from their students.

https://twitter.com/mewtailv2/status/1123292185582084096

Some of these words—Iconic.

Periodt, pull up, come thru—honestly, truly, iconic.

Twitter

I high key appreciate this Professor’s dedication to expanding his vernacular.

Twitter

This entire list slaps.

Twitter

The Twitter user ended up sharing the entire PDF list so we can see all of the epic words present. I truly am in awe.

I’ve never been more proud to work in the field of education than I am right now.

Woman Hands Out Pamphlets To Her Family Answering All Of Their Obnoxious Questions About Her Dating Life

If you have a family and you go on dates, you know that telling your family you’re going on a date means you’ll be bombarded with endless questions about every intimate detail they can possibly think of. How do you combat this? Apparently, make a pamphlet that answers every single question before they get the change to even ask them.

Twitter user Mary Beth Barone shared the pamphlet she provided to her family while on vacation in Florida.

Twitter

Barone told BuzzFeed that she met a guy in Florida at a wedding a few weeks before going on vacation with her family. She planned to meet him in Miami for a date, but, was unsure how to approach her entire family about leaving to go on a date—all 30 people. So, instead of fielding all of their questions, Barone made a pamphlet that answered everything they would most likely ask her about her date.

Twitter

The pamphlet started with a: “Please remain calm,” with a beautiful, calming ocean to make sure they do stay calm.

Twitter

The questions went from “who is this guy,” to “where did you meet him,” to “what’s the parking situation,” and so on. Barone answered probably every question her parents/extended family would ask.

Twitter

Barone told BuzzFeed that her family is truly nosy and invasive—but, she is to them, too. In fact, when she gave them the pamphlets, they loved it.

“I know that all their questions come from a place of love and caring, and I was glad I could ease any worries by overcommunicating.”

And, as it turns out, the date went super well. Unfortunately, the guy ghosted her afew weeks later—because, you know, men are dicks.

However, people online were truly in love with the idea to make a pamphlet to field super invasive and annoying questions instead of actually answering them out loud.

Clearly, Mary needs to make a “how to” video on mastering the art of combating big, annoying, nosy families because—we all truly need it.

Couple Shares The Same Photo With Two Completely Different Captions And I Almost Choked On My Coffee

They say that true love comes when you find someone who balances you out—who has a completely different personality than you. Lillie and her girlfriend Maggie definitely are a prime example of this universal truth.

The two, who make an adorable couple, clearly have different tastes in humor. Lillie shared on Twitter that both she and her girlfriend shared the same photo of them on their Instagram profiles, but, had completely different captions for the posts.

Lillie shared the photo with a romantic and heartfelt caption:

Maggie, on the other hand, turned to humor for hers:

Clearly, Maggie is hilarious and both these girls have an amazing sense of humor. It’s not the first time Maggie has come up with a genius caption on their “couple pics.” All of her captions are pretty much amazing.

Twitter, of course, was dying.

35 Memories That Will Take You Right Back To Your Middle School Days

Nostalgia is a funny thing. Sometimes, we can’t remember what we had for breakfast, but we do remember that outfit we wore to our 8th-grade dance where Ryan asked us to “slow dance” to Kelly Clarkson’s “Breakaway” and we almost threw up on his shoes. Middle school—how can we forget?

Twitter user Madison asked other people to share the “most middle school thing they remember…”

…and people truly brought us back.

Bridesmaid’s Utterly Insane Email Setting ‘Rules’ For Bachelorette Party Is A Gift To Us All

If a bride, groom, or bridesmaid acts out—you best believe it’s going to get exposed on social media, and people are always down for a wedding disaster story.

The latest in the ridiculous stories about weddings comes from Imgur user UrsulaIMeanVanessa. She posted photos of an email she received from another woman in the bridal party who was invited to the bachelorette party in Vegas. Originally the Imgur user said this woman “wasn’t invited” on the trip because she’s a total “womp womp” downer, but she bullied her way into getting an invite (which seems pretty psycho on its own).

Then, the bachelorette bully proceeded to send an email filled with “rules” for the entire bachelorette party’s trip to Vegas. And, it’s absolutely f**king insane.

So, let’s break it down, shall we?

Basically, she found a church to go to in Vegas on Sunday—she even told the Pastor of the church to “expect them.”She also said that there would be “no liquor” in the hotel room at all because they could fall off the balcony and die (which sounds much better than staying with this woman anywhere). She also said that no one could have any sex on this trip—none, zero, zilch. No drugs—not even Adderall.

On top of these demanding rules and regulations, she’s also insisting that everyone in the bridal party who is attending the trip to send her $50 each, because she “plans on spending $900 on groceries—nine hundred dollars.

People on Twitter were blown away that this woman would force her way into the bachelorette party and then demand that everyone follows her rules—and she’s not even the bride!

https://twitter.com/shirlzXL/status/1118852655000977415

Others said they would want their bachelorette party to be the exact opposite.

Some hoped that the rest of the party kicked her a** to the curb.

https://twitter.com/vinneyt/status/1118644573234970624

And plenty of people were dying at the language she used.

And her outrageous rules.

Some wanted to use this for actual good.

https://twitter.com/PolitikMasFina/status/1118726122487914496

Also—the burning question we all have…

https://twitter.com/SmilesnVials/status/1118618513109913600

Honestly, everyone on Twitter (and everyone over here) wants to know what actually went down. Someone, please give us a follow-up.

Chrissy Teigen Lost Her New Hamster And Hilariously Live-Tweeted Herself Trying To Find Her

Pretty much anything Chrissy Teigen does is news because the woman is America’s sweetheart. Which is why, when the model/cookbook author bought a new hamster, Twitter immediately took an interest. And when she lost the little critter (named Peanut Butter) pretty much right away, she kept up a constant stream of tweets keeping her followers abreast of the situation.

John (Legend, Teigen’s husband) will probably learn to be thrilled because hamsters are ridiculously adorable (it is annoying how active they get at night, though).

Teigen shared some details about her new little family member.

Then she shared a video of Peanut Butter chewing on the bars of the cage she was in. “Is this normal?” Teigen asked.

While it was clear that Teigen had the hamster’s best interests at heart, the cage wasn’t ideal.

She also mentioned she had a new glass enclosure coming soon.

She’s clearly a great hamster-mom: she even worried about whether Peanut Butter would figure out how to drink from her water bottle.

The only problem was, the hamster got out.

But not for long! Whew!

But…the next day she went missing again. Such a whirlwind of drama!!

Twitter rallied around and gave her tips on how to catch Peanut Butter. Interestingly, one of them involves peanut butter!

Other people of course just wanted to shame her some more. Teigen didn’t let it get to her.

She reminded people that she did have that new enclosure coming.

Guy Creates A Hilarious Guide To Navigating Women Based On Their Nails And It’s Way Too Real

When you begin dating a woman, it’s hard to know everything about them. It takes months before you realize that you’re dating a stage five clinger, and it’s time to GTFO of the relationship entirely. By then, you’re already wrapped up in the chaos of the craziness and somehow, you end up trapped in this tornado of drama and scandal. But, what if guys were to tell you that from a distance, you can learn all you need to know about a potential female companion based on her nails and her nails alone?

While it may seem a bit crazy to imagine, one Twitter user is here to tell you—no my friends, it is possible. Rocky decided to go through all of the time, effort, and research to create, what he is calling, “Nails At First Sight: Survival Guide 101.” It’s obviously and not very discretely created for his “bros.”

The video starts out with Rocky describing that colors are extremely important in deciding if a woman is “safe” or “dangerous.” From the very first page, Rocky gives over a dozen colors that indicate a woman is safe. The colors are neutral, light pinks and grays. But, he indicates that a woman who has white nails, dark nails, or a french manicure may be dangerous—so, take caution.

Twitter

Rocky moves on to let everyone know that bright, neon colors are a warning sign to run in the complete opposite direction. Lime green, bright red, yellow, and orange are warning signs that this girl is on the crazy train. He says to make sure you have both health and life insurance to keep up with this kind of girl.

Twitter

If you thought this was enough—don’t worry, he keeps going. Next, Rocky explains that shapes are equivalent to a woman’s mood. He goes through every single kind of shape a woman has, indicating that stiletto nails, mountain peaks, and arrowheads mean women are violent and aggressive.
