Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers arrested rapper 21 Savage on Sunday, stating that his visa expired last year, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the AP. Sources state that the rapper, whose legal name is Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, is actually from the United Kingdom—despite being known as a popular “Atlanta rapper.” ICE has said that Savage was taken into custody in a “targeted operation.”
The rapper is now facing deportation.
