Gorgeous Gorgeous Girls create vision boards for 2022

Hello 2022! I welcomed this fabulous year with an open mind and heart.

If you are looking for realistic advice to create real goals and dreams for your 2022, look no further because I am breaking down how to create the best board for you. I will not be speaking about health goals, because I am not a nutritionist, dietician or a fitness trainer. Those goals are left for you to decide to tackle and there is no shame in how we look entering our “post pandemic” era.

To curate the best vision board for yourself begin with three to six big goals. For example, they could be labeled “financial” or “personal”. This helps create a foundation for our overall board. Figure out which three areas in your life you want to focus on all year.

The next step is creating a realistic timeline for each sectional and adding one to three goals under that section. For example, if your sectional is “personal” what two personal goals would you add? It could be regarding traveling twice a year by yourself or spending time with family.

Once you have three to six big goals and the smaller goals written down, find an appropriate timeline for each goal. Using the traveling example, avoid writing things like, “Travel to Europe and Mexico before October”. Instead, write down things like “travel to Mexico during the spring” and “end of summer trip to Europe”. Personally, I like to have an end of the year goal and a half-way point goal. This motivates me to get to my June goal and once I have hit that goal, I know I have six months left to achieve my end of the year goal.

Once all of your goals are written down, timelines are set and you have a clear understanding of your goals, it is time to pull inspiration. Start by choosing your color of the year. Find a color that makes you feel calm, motivated and excited all at once. If you can’t pick one then find two more. At the end of the day, this vision board is for you to look at and feel inspired.

The next step is finding two or three fonts that fit your aesthetic. If you are just using pictures, you can skip this step. The reason texts are important for a vision board is to motivate and want us to look back at our boards. I think fonts are just as important as the pictures we decide to use.

The final step is finding the photos you want to collage and placing them on the board. My advice is working your pictures from the edges into the middle. Find your big goal pictures and section them around the edges. Then, add the smaller goal photos and any texts you want to go alongside. And do not forget to incorporate your 2022 color (or colors) to make your board cohesive.

A vision board is a fun way to tackle those big goals and the small goals we all want to achieve. If you have a hard time finding inspiration, look for articles, videos, and podcasts that talk about healthy goals to create. Everyone has something they are looking forward to each year and it is a way to do something for yourself.

I hope that my advice can help you create a beautiful vision board for 2022. Send this article to your friends for a fun wine and vision board night. Or send it to someone who needs some creative inspiration for 2022.

8 New Years Resolutions For The Big-Hearted Overthinker

This New Years Resolutions post was originally published in 2016 and the meaning is so true, especially for this year. So we updated it out of gratitude and thanks to the writer. Enjoy!

Everyone always makes New Years resolutions each year, and few ever actually follow through with them. For over thinkers who have big hearts, we rarely have time in our busy lives to work on ourselves, but remember, when you’re in a plane crash, the first person you need to put the mask on is yourself. You can’t help others if you’re injured. This year, try these 8 things.

1. Practicing self-care.

You’re always so busy putting everyone else first that you forget to take care of yourself. Take some time to decompress, reflect on things, and relax. You deserve it.

2. Accepting life for what it is.

You are constantly searching for reasons behind everything. Unfortunately, sometimes life just sucks. There’s not always an answer or a solution. It’s important to understand that some things are best left alone while you wait for better things to come along.

3. Ridding yourself of toxic people.

Sometimes no matter how much you love people, they’re not meant to be in your life. People can be brought into your life to teach you a lesson, but aren’t meant to actually stay. Don’t break your own heart by keeping people in your life who don’t deserve to be there.

4. Do something spontaneous

You overthink everything, rarely ever doing anything without thinking it through first. Let loose, think of something fun and just do it. Don’t think twice. Thank me later 😉

5. Be proud of who you are.

We are all human and there is always room for improvement, but that doesn’t mean that you’re not something to be proud of. You are a work in progress and you are beautiful in all of your imperfections. You are one of a kind. Embrace it, love it, take pride in it!

6. Learn how to set healthy boundaries.

You have such a big heart, and because of that, some people will suck you dry. You don’t have to take on more than you can handle, it’s okay to say no! And remember, no is a complete sentence, it requires no explanation.

7. Develop an optimistic thought process.

Once you start to think more positive, your days will become brighter. There is always a positive for every negative. Work on trying to draw on that. Wake up everyday and tell yourself “today will be a good day.” You’d be surprised how far that kind of mindset can take you.

8. Become a little less reactive.

Every action does not deserve a reaction. Sometimes your silence can speak a thousand words; not everyone deserves to get a rise out of you. Choose your battles, learn when to hold your tongue and when it’s necessary to speak your mind.

2021 can be an amazing, life changing year for you if you let it be. Change takes time, so if you can’t get it down one day, try again the next. You can become a healthier, happier you. And I have faith that you will.

Traveling on New Years? Try These 9 Destinations

Traveling on New Years? Are you planning to ring in the new year in a new place? If so, youre probably searching for the perfect destination to pop champagne and count down to midnight. But what constitutes the perfect destination?

If youre traveling on new years, consider these nine locales.

New York

If you haven’t watched the ball drop in Times Square, you’re missing out on a classic New Year’s Eve tradition. It’s crowded and noisy and messy — everything wonderful about a celebration.

You don’t have to get down and dirty on the ground. You can book a hip room and watch the festivities from a poolside bar atop a skyscraper. Alternately, you can reserve a spot on a cruise and watch the fireworks from the harbor while you wine and dine.

London

Do you want to ring in the new year the English way? Head across the pond to London, where you can watch the New Year’s fireworks illuminate the famous Big Ben. While you’re there, you can tour Windsor Castle or see the sights atop a double-decker bus.

Itll be chilly, of course, but the jet stream helps to regulate temperatures somewhat. Be sure to bring warm clothing regardless if youre traveling on new years.

Colorado

Ah, colorful Colorado. If you’re a skiing enthusiast, you have to head out to the Midwest to ring in the new year the mile-high way. Even if you prefer not to hit the slopes, you can book a snowshoe tour of the majestic Rocky Mountains.

Downtown Denver looks spectacular in the snow, or you can head north to towns like Estes Park or Breckenridge. You can look for cabin rentals in Estes Park if you want to start the year right – with beautiful mountain views and spectacular outdoor adventures!

Arizona

Are you convinced you won’t thaw out until July? If you live in a northern climate, why not fly south to sunny Arizona? Winter in this state is like summer everywhere else. Fairs and festivals abound throughout the region, and you’ll find a celebration catered to nearly any interest.

If you stay in the Phoenix, Sedona or Tucson metro areas, you can wear shorts and flip-flops during the day — but bring an oversized sweatshirt and snuggly socks for the evening hours. The desert cools down at night.

Auckland

Do you want to get a jumpstart on New Year’s Eve before the rest of the world? Fly down to Auckland, New Zealand, where you’ll find a temperate climate and unbeatable scenery.

Auckland is the heart of New Zealand’s film industry. You can tour the areas where classics movies came to life, a wonderful experience if youre traveling on new years.

The Caribbean

Now that the hurricane season is a thing of the past, head to a Caribbean island to shake your winter blues this new year. You’ll find temperatures in the 80s all year, and you’ll be the envy of the office when you return with a tan.

You can enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving or kick back on the beach. If you want a more extensive tour of the region, book a cruise to ring in 2020.

Athens

Have you ever been to a bouzoukia or a Greek nightclub? These feature stages where bands play the traditional music of the region while the guests sing and dance along.

The experience of camaraderie — even when you don’t speak the language — is unmatchable. Plus, you can watch the fireworks show light up the Parthenon. It’s an ethereal blend of ancient and new.

Mt. Kilimanjaro

If you want to climb every mountain, but you’re not sure about Everest, head to Africa. You can ring in 2020 from the top of the continent’s highest peak. While you’re there, you can view majestic animals like lions and zebras.

Sydney

Can you imagine watching the fireworks over the famous Sydney Opera House? You might not find Nemo, but you’ll get unforgettable photographs that will make your colleagues swoon.

Plus, you’ll ring in the new year 12 hours before the folks back in Times Square.

Make This New Years Memorable With an Amazing Trip

There’s nothing like travel to broaden your horizons. It’s the perfect way to start 2020.

Happy 2020

If youre traveling on new years, try one of these destinationsYoull have the most memorable celebration to date.

Man Turns To Reddit For Legal Advice After Drunkenly Proposing To Wrong Woman

We’ve all been there. Drunk and spontaneous on New Year’s Eve, trying to do something special. But one too many drinks and an accidental proposal later, U.K. redditor u/Propermistakeregret needed legal advice and turned to the internet.

“Proposed to girlfriend whilst drunk on NYE night, can I cancel and get the ring back,” the viral post on popular subreddit LegalAdviceUK begins, before our hungover antihero dives into his night of regrets. He says he fell in love with a co-worker and bought the ring for her, and has been planning to break up with his girlfriend for a while. But now it’s too late: “It’s been posted on my friends Snapchat, my girlfriends Facebook page, everywhere. I saw people proposing so I wanted to go with the flow and proposed to my girlfriend whilst partially pissed. Can I get the ring back and cancel the engagement please?”

Though genuine legal advice was quick to follow, many Reddit users chose to point out the problems with u/propermistakeregrets’ decisions. Why was he dating two women at once? Who just decides to propose because everyone else is doing it?

One user pointed out that in the U.K., engagement rings are an “absolute gift,” which means that “unless some agreement, express or implied, was made when giving it” that it  “would be returned if the marriage did not occur.” They even provided this very helpful link to a site for legal advice.

Another user agreed, telling u/propermistakeregret “You can break off the false engagement by being a real douche and telling her you’re actually seeing someone else and this was a mistake but the ring is hers to do as she wishes. I hope she sticks it where your sun doesn’t shine when you tell her.”

Only one user, Dusty-Pilgrim, gave him any leeway for having been inebriated. “If you were so drunk that you lacked legal capacity to make a gift then that could be grounds for getting it back,” they wrote. “Realistically, unless the ring cost a fortune, lawyers aren’t going to get involved and you will have to resolve this between you.”

Propermistakeregret didn’t actually seem to regret his decision all that much, as he spent most of his time in the comments complaining about the cost of the ring and the unfairness of the situation. He did not reply to a request for comment and the Daily Dot cannot independently verify his story.

He later considered stealing the ring back, apparently, though Reddit advised him not to: A user pointed to the first section of a 1968 law stating that “A person is guilty of theft if he dishonestly appropriates property belonging to another with the intention of permanently depriving the other of it.”

The top commenter on the thread hit the nail on the head. “Well, from a legal perspective you’re shit out of luck because a gift is a gift, even when given by a moron,” they wrote.

In the end, propermistakesregret did some soul-searching and came to a (likely terrible) decision. He is going to conceal his affair for the rest of his life and marry the woman he accidentally proposed to.

What New Year’s Resolution You Should Make Based On Your Zodiac Sign

It’s about that time of the year when everyone starts thinking what they should do about next year. What kind of resolution they want to make, what is one that they can actually keep for a whole year? Some wonder if they should even make one, is it really worth it? We all have that friend, who also might just be us, who is struggling with finding something we want to do for the next year, so let’s make this easier by looking at each Zodiac sign.  Here is what type of New Year’s resolution you should make based on your horoscope.

Aries (Mar. 21-Apr. 19)

You love to be in the thrill of the moment, you desire to lead the way for others, you are independent, outgoing, and assertive but yet you are also very trusting. Sometimes you can trust too much, but don’t worry you always have the ability to bounce back from any setback. Some may say you are always a kid at heart, that is why this New Year’s your resolution should be to finally go skydiving, or something thrilling. Sure you don’t have to jump out of a plane, you can do indoor skydiving, you can even do bungee jumping, do something that makes you find that thrill of the moment and own it.

Taurus (Apr. 19 – May 20)

You are calm and collected on the outside, but inside you have managed to discreetly stay apart from the crowd, you only let people as close as you want, and after that, you simply will not budge. Your feelings, fears, and desires run deeper than anyone else would guess, you deal well with personal and physical senses, and are often a pet lover. That is why this New Year’s your resolution should be do an adventure or even that is outside of your comfort zone. Maybe it’s going on a bar crawl with friends, or maybe going to a rave, hell maybe it’s a cooking class. Do something outside of your comfort zone, and do it with a friend.

Gemini (May 21- June 20)

You desire to be ahead of the crowd, you have also gained the reputation of being the talk of the group. You can be curious and maybe mischievous, but you know a little about everything. No one is better at multi-tasking than you are. That is why this New Year’s your resolution should be to help othersMaybe try volunteering at the local animal shelter, or resale shop, heck even just give some time to the local food pantry. You are used to being ahead of the crowd, so why not try and help the rest of the crowd?

Cancer (June 21- July 22)

You are a bundle of contradictions, you are compassionate and caring, but yet you can be jealous and have changing moods. You go through many new and full phases of experiences, life doesn’t stand still for you, or stay in one place for very long either. That is why your New Year’s resolution should be to travel more this year. Sure we might not all have baller bank accounts but it doesn’t mean you need tons of money to go somewhere. Go out and experience a new event in a town by you, or see the next state, maybe jump on a red-eye flight to Chicago for a weekend, experience this world like you haven’t before.

Leo (July 23 –Aug 22)

Love conquers all for you, you are truly ruled by your heart. You are charismatic and a positive thinker, you attract opportunities and friends no matter where you are. You manage to survive all of the storms life has given you, and sometimes even with humor. That is why your New Year’s resolution is to join a social club. Okay maybe it doesn’t have to be events and adventures, but that would be pretty sweet, but find a new group of people to interact with, think of all the friends you will make and all the opportunities that will become of it.

Virgo (Aug. 23- Sep 22)

You are efficient and have strong ethics. You are confident with yourself, and your accomplishments. You set very high standards for anything, but you still strive to reach all of those standards and expect others to as well. You can be found working in a service to others industry, which is why this New Year’s your resolution should be taking yoga classes. You spend so much of your time helping others and expecting the best that can be, it’s time you take a break and relax, maybe this class will help you learn that high expectations can be good, but you have to be able to adjust them for those who cannot meet them. Take advantage of this, if you’re looking for a good place to try, check out Groupon for the best deals for some of the best places in your area.

That is why your New Year’s resolution should be take a cooking class with your friends. Sure maybe this isn’t your idea of a girls night, but you will be everyone to come to a balance and sharing a fun event with your friends. Can you say win?

Scorpio (Oct. 23- Nov 21)

You lead your life by fate and have been told to have been wise throughout the years, even as a kid. You are sometimes even called an old soul. You have passion, desire and power, it’s like the amazing trifecta everyone wants. You are usually a winner, which is why this year your New Year’s resolution should be try a tough mudder eventokay so maybe running isn’t your thing, but think about it, you have power, passion and the ability to make your goals reality. You are a winner, so why not win at something you have never tried?

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec 21)

You possess a natural sense of adventure, and a love of life, which makes you very optimistic. You are known to aim your sights at whatever you please, you believe anything is possible, and because of that, you are able to find and achieve whatever you desire. That is why this New Year’s your resolution should be to literally climb a mountain. Okay, it doesn’t have to be Everest, but maybe a sand dune this summer, or Pike’s Peak, heck even just the big hill in the park down the road. Climb your own new mountain and show yourself you can do it all.

Capricorn (Dec. 22- Jan 19)

You are able to balance your life, although at times balancing work and play is a bit difficult, you can continually climb every mountain you see. You rise to the occasion when faced with a new task or deadline, you are conservative and cautious, but you will try unusual ways to reach your goals. That is why your New Year’s resolution should be take an acting class, or impressionism. Think about it, this is something new, you are always able to meet deadlines, so why not have fun with it and take a fun class that will lighten up those tasks when you have to conquer them?
