Nervous Dad Seeks His Daughter’s Advice For A First Date And It’s Too Damn Cute

First dates, much like job interviews, are awkward and nerve-wracking at any age. It doesn’t matter if you’re a teenager going to a movie with your high school crush or if you’re a middle-aged dad stepping back into the dating world after a long hiatus.

Just take this father, for instance, who was so nervous about a first date that he sought his daughter’s advice and it’s too damn cute.

This is Gabriela Guwop from Sacramento, California.

@GabrielaGuwop

Gabriel recently got a text from her dad who needed some advice for a first date.

https://twitter.com/GabrielaGuwop/status/1094756561426178048

“My dad went on a date today for the first time in hella long,” she writes.

First, he asked for Gabriela’s fashion input.

@GabrielaGuwop

He even sent a few mirror selfies to be safe.

@GabrielaGuwop

And then he shared photos of his date, writing “Check me out love!”

@GabrielaGuwop

Gabriela shared the adorable father-daughter exchange on Twitter and people couldn’t get enough.

We’re pretty invested at this point.

Let’s just hope Gabriela updates us on the second date.

Ariana Grande Fans Are Actually Trying To Convince People To Boycott ‘7 Rings’

Ariana Grande has had a pretty successful year so far. From the release of chart-topping ‘Thank U, Next’ to ‘7 Rings’, the 25-year-old is having no trouble making a name for herself in the music industry.

It might surprise you, though, that Grande fans are currently boycotting her second number one hit, ‘7 Rings’. But don’t worry it’s all for a good cause.

It’s no secret that Ariana Grande has been killin’ it lately.

The 25-year-old superstar snagged her first number one single in the US with popular breakup anthem, ‘Thank U, Next’.

And in a matter of months, she scored another top spot with hit track ‘7 Rings’ which has been sitting at number one for three weeks.

So, we were a little surprised to find out that fans have been hell-bent on boycotting the song.

https://twitter.com/needynic/status/1095095052727140357

At first, we assumed there was some political motivation, but it turns out that fans are actually trying to help Grande break a record.

https://twitter.com/needynic/status/1095095781256847360

According to Billboard, only 33 songs have spent their first week on the chart at number one and only a handful of stars are listed twice including Ariana Grande.

If Grande can score a third first-week chart-topper, she’ll be the first artist in history to do so.

Hence, the boycott. Fans are hoping that by skipping ‘7 Rings’, Grande can break the record.

https://twitter.com/nationswhore/status/1095848083173400576

And they’re pretty serious about it.

https://twitter.com/Lorenza_Zanaga/status/1095862866815664129

Of course, it wasn’t long before Grande caught wind of the boycott but she had a good sense of humor about it.

https://twitter.com/ArianaGrande/status/1095841462875353088

https://twitter.com/ArianaGrande/status/1095841686209495040

https://twitter.com/ArianaGrande/status/1095843029871546368

And now we wait until next week to see if it actually worked.

Tinder Guy’s ‘Duck Story’ Is The Best Way To Get A Girl’s Number Hands Down

Navigating the murky waters of modern dating apps like Tinder is always a gamble. Swipe left, swipe right, get a match, and then the conversation begins. Unfortunately, a good portion of the Tinder population is less than clever when it comes to opening lines, but every now and then a creative suitor changes the game.

This guy, for example, managed to get a girl’s number off of the popular dating app in the most genius way and boys, take notes, please.

Anyone who’s ever been on Tinder knows the swiping game can be a hot mess. But every now and then you come across someone who makes all the BS worth it.

One Redditor recently shared a Tinder interaction she had with a guy who created an elaborate choose-your-own-adventure just to get her number.

And people were pretty impressed with the duck guy’s creativity.

Take notes, gentlemen.

Weezer Covered ‘No Scrubs’ On Their New Album And You Should Hear It

Every music lover knows that anytime an artist covers another artist’s work things get a little controversial. There’s always going to be people who hate the new take on their favorite track and then there will be people who love the cover almost as much (if not more) than the original. There’s hardly ever any in between.

So, when the band Weezer released their latest album Thursday morning featuring a variety of iconic covers, it came as no surprise that people had their opinions right away. One track in particular, though, is getting far more attention than the others and we’re not too sure how to feel about it.

ICYMI: Weezer just dropped a brand new album titled The Teal Album that features covers of some of the most iconic tracks in music history.

Here’s the full Spotify tracklist:

You might be surprised to see one of these tracks is the 90s hit “No Scrubs” originally made famous by none other than TLC.

Go ahead, give it a listen…

Amazing right?

Twitter is positively shook.

https://twitter.com/runawaywithmani/status/1088350992616181760

https://twitter.com/dimsie/status/1088330992069165056

But the band’s reasoning behind this particular cover is probably the best part.

Unfortunately, not everyone is a huge fan.

https://twitter.com/ADDelgiacco/status/1088308102619754496

Some people were actually angry about the cover.

https://twitter.com/ziwe/status/1088468173274402817

And this guy even tweeted at Chilli, one of the original TLC members to get her take on the track.

To which she replied:

At least they have the official stamp of approval and tbh, we’re here for it too.

Watch Rami Malek’s Soul Leave His Body When He Sees His Awkward Golden Globes Moment With Nicole Kidman

ICYMI: the Golden Globes were last Sunday and the popular Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody cleaned house, taking home awards for both ‘Best Motion Picture – Drama’ and ‘Best Actor – Motion Picture – Drama’.

Rami Malek, who won Best Actor for his role as legendary frontman Freddie Mercury, thanked the rockstar in his acceptance speech and returned back to the main stage with the rest of the cast and crew for their collective award.

Following their thank-you’s and tributes, the cast heads off stage and we see Rami follow behind Nicole Kidman who presented their award. He appears to attempt to get the star’s attention multiple times and hilariously fails, sending Twitter into an absolute frenzy.

Needless to say, Jimmy Kimmel made Rami relive the entire moment and his reaction was pure gold.

Following their acceptance speech, Rami heads off stage behind Nicole Kidman and awkwardly attempts to get her attention several times.

We feel you, Rami.

And Twitter loved the entire interaction.

But it wasn’t until Jimmy Kimmel showed Rami the footage on Wednesday that the actor realized what had happened.

And his reaction was pretty great.

Even though Rami said he and Nicole Kidman are close friends and that it was just bad timing, he expects this moment will haunt him forever.

Yes, yes it is.

Don’t worry, Rami we still love you.

This College Student Struggled So Much On A Final Exam That She Sent The Professor Photos Of Herself And Actually Got A Response

Anyone who has ever endured the utter brutality that is college finals week knows how trying it can be on the mind, body, and soul. Hours spent studying the same texts over and over, pulling all-nighters, consuming an ungodly amount of coffee, and many emotional breakdowns are just a few of the necessary evils that come along with exams.

One college student named Alana is no stranger to the trials of finals week. In fact, she became so overwhelmed after taking one of her most difficult exams that she emailed her professor a photo of herself crying and he actually responded.

If you’ve ever taken a college final you know exam week usually looks something like this:

And this:

University of Rochester student Hannah Foster and her classmate Alana Ferris are no strangers to these emotions and recently endured the horrors of finals week.

@hannahfoster07 / @alana_ferris

In fact, Alana was so overwhelmed by the difficulty of her chemistry final that she decided to share her emotions with the professor in a heartfelt email.

@hannahfoster07

We feel you, girl.

Believe it or not, the professor actually responded and apologized for Alana’s strife.

@hannahfoster07

Hannah later shared the entire exchange on Twitter.

And people could totally relate.

Some even imagined what the professor’s real reaction was like.

And one of the exam graders chimed in.

Hang in there, Alana! Maybe the next exam won’t be so bad…
