Six Ways To Celebrate Veganuary Without Going Vegan

So it’s the New Year and you are resolving to be a newer and improved you. With the climate crisis, more and more people are finding compassion for animals and mother-earth and changing their diets to plant-based.

January means Veganuary has started and vegans and the vegan-curious are altering their diets in support.

Unfortunately, that is not your cup of tea. You like meat, or have other diet restrictions, such as tree nut allergies and gluten allergies that make it difficult to make the full switch to a plant-based diet.

Here are ten ways to help celebrate Veganuary without going meatless.

Go Cruelty-Free with Cosmetics

Cruelty-free cosmetics mean that no animals were tested in the making of the products. Brands such as Glimmer Wish are non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free for the kiddos. Adorable, sweet-smelling shower gels and shampoos, which are perfect for Veganuary. Bubble gum scented hairspray that is kind to the animals? Check out Sugar Scents scented hairspray. Chemical-free, cruelly free, and wrinkle-resistant, Dallas and James Skincare line contains no harsh chemicals so you can look good without doing any harm.

Support An Animal Sanctuary

You don’t have to be cruel, be kind! Supporting animals that are rescued and living in heavenly sanctuaries is another way you can support a vegan lifestyle. Even if it is not yours. Check out your local animal sanctuary and make a donation, pay them a visit, and show your support.

Embrace Meatless Mondays

Maybe you cannot live a fully vegan lifestyle, but perhaps you can handle a meal that is plant-based here and there. Joining the meatless Monday movement is one way to explore a vegan diet without permanent restrictions.

Drink Vegan

Believe it or not, that beer you are drinking may not be vegan. Sites like Barnivore offer up an A to Z of vegan alcohol brands. There are plenty to choose from. Cheers to Veganuary!

Wear Cruelty Free Clothing

Feathers and fur are being banned, and leather are all yesterday’s cruel clothing. Today there are companies focused on sustainable, vegan, and cruelty-free fashion to help you look the part and look good doing it.

Give Up (some) Dairy

There are so many milk alternatives out there to choose from. Not only do they taste better and usually last longer in the fridge than actual milk, but they contain zero hormones and will help reduce inflammation in the body.

Conclusion

Being plant-based doesn’t happen overnight. But being cruelty-free can be. Try the above methods to alter your diet and lifestyle in celebration of Veganuary. Who knows? Maybe you will embrace the lifestyle more than you think!

Jewelry Is Not Just A Girl’s Best Friend

I mean who doesn’t like jewelry!? Not only should you spoil your special lady with it but why not spoil your lovely feline!? Trust me, she will love it too! I recently tried a new cat collar for my cat Gracie from My Lovely Feline!

“Beautiful products designed to change the feline world for the better.”

That’s the direct quote from their website and I can personally say that they in fact are doing just that! Their glacier breakaway cat collar is made out of premium vegan leather so not only is it designer but it’s animal friendly, millions of animals are killed each year for their skin! My lovely feline is a company that is focused on protecting our planet, which is pretty great for a company to pride itself on!

The collar almost replicates the classic and iconic tiffany blue (the irony in that).

The collar is super user-friendly and comes in multiple sizes ranging from small to large. In these three size ranges, you have the ability to adjust the size of it just right for your lovely little furry friend. The collar comes in the cutest little box in a little draw-string pouch as all beautiful jewelry does! There is no wonder as to why this brand was voted for 2021’s people’s choice winning cat collar for best pet product of 2021!

The collar comes to $39.95 plus shipping and handling, which is actually an amazing price considering the fact that it’s all vegan leather, designer, and a breakaway collar. I would highly recommend this collar for your cat.

The one downside I do have to say about the collar is that, yes it is a breakaway collar but if your cat has a history of getting out of the house I would use extreme caution due to the fact that my cat was literally able to take it off of herself. Overall I would have to give this collar a 3.9 out of 5.

How Brands can Engage their Audience in Their Drive to go Green

Brands are under pressure to take upon sustainability, with customers more environmentally aware than ever before. In favor of the ecosystem’s integrity, millions have started buying socially responsible goods, despite their higher prices. As a result, brands are moving to a business model that aims to retain such customers by using green marketing, which highlights the environmental rewards of a product.

Green marketing is not just about promoting environmentally characterized goods or services. It requires alterations of the brand and improvements in the production process. As a brand, you should demonstrate how your business operations have a little impact on the environment. Hence, you should shift your goals and strategies from profitability to environmentally conscious by engaging your customers in the journey.

Use of Social Media

Social media has proved to be significantly helpful for businesses. A company can reach out to millions of people within a short time via a screen. Hence, social media platforms offer brands an easy way to talk to people about green measures. You should share educative, interactive, and shareable content. The content should be about topics that are relatable to users.

Social networks can help you grow your green marketing to both green customers and those that would want to learn about it. Customers can now be reached across numerous social networks, both from common interest and lateral networks that link those focused on social accountability and consumers focused on going green. Ensure you have a team that keeps your platforms active.

Donating Some Profits to Charity

Today, a significant percentage of consumers gravitate towards companies that value corporate social responsibility. Therefore, it is vital to donate a certain portion of your profits to environmental charities. Your customers will feel part of the program when they purchase your goods. Ensure that the organizations you are donating to are authentic to help your clients add real value to the community.

Also, you can donate your time, as it doesn’t have to be monetary. For instance, you and your employees can take part in a community tree-planting project or awareness marathon. To improve your eco-friendly corporate activities, make sure to convey your green marketing behavior to your clients. These measures will help reduce your carbon footprint and also win your clients’ trust.

Ask Customers to Help

You can make your brand gain sustainability by allowing customers to help in your green program. For instance, you can remind them on the packaging to reuse or recycle products, instead of disposing of them. Your clients are happy to help you achieve your goals and grow your business. You should create an environment that makes them feel part of your mission.

You should also consider crowdsourcing ideas and input from customers. Use the ideas in brand campaigns to push for environmental sustainability. You can also engage your customers by asking them to take part in quizzes. The quizzes should be multiple choice and short answers to make work easier. Customers can also be involved in climate actions that make your company stand out.

Inspire Beyond Sustainability

Green networking is more than just sharing a brand’s own biodiversity progress. Your interaction with customers can impact how related they are to the sustainability target of the brand. Hence, ensure that they feel inspired to take the front line in protecting the environment. For example, you can use this opportunity to teach them how to be mindful of their home surroundings.

Expand Your Options

Creating more open, inexpensive, inclusive, and integrated services and goods is beneficial to your green marketing program A good example is the reaction the public has towards the plant-based food culture. KFC and Burger King have accomplished this by adding favorites to their menus with vegan alternatives to their franchises, which has significantly been appreciated by customers who want to go green.

Make Recycling a Priority

Recycling is one of the smartest things your brand can do to become more environmentally friendly. A common method of recycling used is repurposing rubbish. Many businesses are producing products from recycled materials which end up attracting more consumer attention and interest to the company’s product. You should partner with a recycling store if you haven’t established one in your company.

Brands have a ‘recyclable’ revolution to devote themselves to. It is important to track all your obvious goods that are recyclable as this will help restrict the amount of carbon footprint left behind by your company. When your products are recyclable, you increase your chances of being chosen by consumers. This is because consumers appreciate companies that don’t exploit natural resources.

Final Thoughts on Brand Sustainability

Brands need to have the objective of environmental protection and sustainability. Promoting an eco-friendly campaign creates an emotional bond with consumers. Making green activities a part of the story of your company is the way to go. Hence, you should find the best green marketing approaches that work for your business. Besides, your clients should know your mission to help you effectively.

Why You Should Embrace Veganuary This Month

Are you considering becoming a vegan? Even if you are not planning to become a full vegan this year, embracing plant based meals can have many health and environmental benefits. Here are eight solid reasons to embrace #veganuary.

1.) Compassion for animals.

What gives us the right to decide which species are more important? We share this planet with grass puppies (cows) and puppies (doggos) if you have ever seen a cow play with a ball, you would think it was a large grass puppy. All animals should be treated as sentient beings with a purpose on this planet.

2.)  Veganism is better for humans too.

Animal agriculture and jobs in slaughterhouses and dairy farms are ranked high on the list of dangerous jobs, as they usually lax in safety and health standards.

3.) Put your health first.

The facts are, if you want to lose weight, reduce inflammation in your body and find heart health, cutting animal protein and foods out of your diet is the solution. Fruits and Vegetables, lean beans, nuts, herbs and spices along with meat alternatives will provide nutrition, flavor and can increase your life span.

4.) The Planet Needs You

What is the difference between a beyond burger and a hamburger? Well one huge difference, one is derived from pea protein while the other has to be fed, raised and watered before winding up in your store shelves. This strains our already drained land, water and air resources. That, coupled with deforestation, are two very strong reasons to embrace a plant based diet. A plant based diet reduces the amount of land use, not to mention the amount of hormones and pesticides injected and consumed by animals while they are being raised.

5.) Better Sleep

Most nutritional sleep aides are actually vegan products. Find better sleep by having vegan snacks and embracing teas and almonds. A banana or a kiwi is a sleep easy snack. You will get extra zzz’s without harming the planet or harming sweet animals.

“Sleep enhancing brain chemicals such as serotonin, tryptophan, and melatonin are found in many vegan foods,”

6.) Better Performance

If you were to look at your body in terms of efficiencies, where would you say you are at on a scale of one to ten? Studies show that vegan athletes outperform their meat eating competitors, by having higher endurance and an increase in strength.  If you want to see it for yourself? Check out the Game Changers Movie and see just how potent a produce based diet can be for your overall wellbeing.

7.) Your Skin Will Glow

Getting better skin usually requires hydration. How many times have you been told to drink more water? And your friends that do, have quite the glow, don’t they? Fruits and vegetables are hydrating and nutrient rich as well as loaded with antioxidants. That is why vegan celebrities shine, both onscreen and off.

8.) It Is Easy To Go Plant Based

Being vegan these days is a fairly easy to do. In addition to food programs that offer vegan meals delivered, you can find vegan recipes on social media and most restaurants offer vegan items on their menus. The world is going plant-based. There are vegan clothing companies, and vegan and cruelty free makeup and beauty products.

So embrace the plant based diet, and embrace the vegan movement. To read more on Veganuary check out their site.
