He’s Never Going To Be The Man You Want Him To Be

The Man You Want

You love him, you love him with all of your heart. You think that he is “the one,” the person that you can spend the rest of your life with. But, there’s something inside of you that is holding you back—that is making you second guess where you are and where you’re going.

It’s that little trickle of doubt that keeps you up at night when he doesn’t come home on time when he isn’t answering your calls, when he takes too long to answer your texts.

When we love people, we always try to see the best in them—think of it as wearing rose-colored glasses. We see everything in bright shades of pinks and reds—looking at everything as though it’s sunshine and rainbows.

We don’t want to be bothered with the harrowing realities of seeing the truth in people, their true colors and who they are. And we try to end fights as soon as they begin—we’d rather go back to happier times when we’re laughing than those sad times of misery.

This Girl Gave Her Tinder Match 2 Hours To Write A Resume Explaining Why He Should Be Her Wedding Date, And He More Than Delivers

Swiping through Tinder never fails to be an adventure. Sometimes that adventure involves creepers and unsolicited photos, but other times it can involve some truly great conversation.

Sometimes it can even mean finding the perfect wedding date. Just ask Delyanie who matched with one very dedicated guy named Nate who was even willing to build a resume to go to a wedding with her.

This is South Carolina native Delaynie AKA @delayniemarie.

@delayniemarie

While swiping on Tinder one day, Delaynie matched with Nate who was interested in being her wedding date and jokingly, Delaynie requested a formal resume.

@delayniemarie

And Nate took the request pretty seriously.

@delayniemarie

A few hours later, Delaynie received this outstanding and thorough resume.

@delayniemarie

Note the many prestigious awards and acknowledgments.

@delayniemarie

Delaynie shared the entire exchange on Twitter where it garnered over 50K likes.

@delayniemarie

Needless to say, people were obsessed and wanted to know the outcome.

Though, some commenters pointed out how odd it was to invite a stranger to a family wedding.

And several people were rooting for Gavin.

It wasn’t long before Delaynie shared an update saying she would be taking Nate to the wedding.

According to Bored Panda, however, the pair did not end up going to the wedding together, but they did remain friends.

21 Reasons Why Millennials Are The Worst Generation

I think we can all agree that millennials are just the worst. We feel entitled to every little luxury like access to public health care and having a roof over our heads—who do we think we are?

Ask any Baby Boomer you can find. Millennials are lazy, self-centered, and we put perfectly good establishments like JC Penny’s and Office Depot at risk. How our generation has fallen so far from the tree is beyond me.

These are just a few of the many indisputable reasons why millennials are the worst.

1. They’re incredibly stuck up.

2. They have no idea how to save money.

3. They are constantly broke.

4. Millennials are the most entitled generation.

5. Seriously.

6. Everything comes so easy to them.

7. They’re far too forgiving.

8. They’re blatantly disrespectful.

9. Millennials are way too sensitive.

10. They spend too much money on brunch.

Women Are Sharing Their Mansplaining Horror Stories And We’re Fuming

Anyone who’s ever had the extreme misfortune of encountering a mansplainer know just how insulting it can be. It happens all too often and is honestly one of the most infuriating situations to be in.

At the very least, we can take solace in the fact that these mansplainers make complete idiots out of themselves and get roasted into oblivion on Twitter.

Nicole Froio, a women’s studies Ph.D. candidate, recently asked her Twitter followers about the most obvious thing a man has every mansplained to them.

Twitter

Froio also clarified the definition of ‘mansplaining’ for any naysayers who might decide to chime in.

Twitter

My personal favorite definition is one provided by Urban Dictionary: “A man whom by virtue of the authority and privilege vested in him by society feels entitled to preach or explain how the world works. Bonus, if he is speaking to women, whom he perceives to be naive and ignorant, about problems and concerns with which women have real life every day experience, and the man has NO f***ing clue what he is talking about. This is usually done in a patronizing insensitive manner.”

Unsurprisingly, the women of Twitter had plenty to share.

Twitter

Oh, boy.

This woman had her own heritage mansplained to her.

Twitter

Scientists aren’t even safe from mansplainers.

Twitter

Neither are the female academics of the world.

Twitter

Nor the education professionals.

Twitter

Mansplainers have gone so far as to patronize women about things like childbirth…

Twitter

My eyes have never rolled so hard.

And the functions of breast milk.
