Wearable Technology

The Fitbit and other wearables are popular in and out of the gym. Wearables have become very accurate over the years and it is now estimated to be a ninety five billion dollar industry.

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)

These fitness classes offer short bursts of high intensity exercises followed by short periods of rest. Though wildly popular, caution is needed as injury rates in these types of classes are higher than others. The cardio is intense and the strength training requires focus.

Lagree, indoor cycling, pole dancing, (that’s right) rowing, pilates, and cardio classes that kick butt are still popular and growing. And working out in a group environment is said to increase motivation. Barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells and cowbells, (well not those actually), are still popular with the masses. The difference now though is classes are training you how to use the weights to prevent injury. Focus is on perfecting form before increasing the weight.
