You’ve all seen the video for Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next,” right? It broke the YouTube record for most views in 24 hours (over 46 million) and has been all over social media since it was released last Friday. And now it’s even got its own parody song and video, courtesy of James Corden and the inimitable Jeff Goldblum.
Let me just start by saying that I think Jeff Goldblum truly is a national treasure (a phrase that gets thrown around a lot these days). Everything about him is cool and svelte and adorable and charming and silver fox sexy. And I am very far from alone in my opinion, since just about everyone in the world is a fan of Jeff Goldblum. How could they not be? He’s utter perfection.
James Corden clearly feels strongly about Jeff Goldblum, too. During The Late Late Show with James Corden‘s December 5 episode, Corden goes to see Goldblum in the green room and after thanking him several times, serenades him with a parody version of the Ariana Grande hit called “Thank U, Jeff.”
The spoof, which includes lines like “He’s our silver fox, with black thick-rimmed glasses / the way that he talks will knock off your asses,” also features a bunch of dancing Jeff Goldblum lookalikes. Oh, and there’s an amazing scrapbook of Jeff Goldblum photos from various stages of his career (all hot, of course) that would be the envy of any Goldblum aficionado if it wasn’t also a little creepy. But hey, I’m not judging. It’s Goldblum, after all.
Just do yourself a favor and watch the video. It’s got Jeff Goldblum with a camcorder just like the real “Thank U, Next” has Kris Kardashian. Could he be any cuter?
And Ariana Grande loved the whole thing. She tweeted the video and asked, “omg….. may i please….. please for christmas have the thank u, jeff book? it’s for a friend. promise.”

You know what, because she’s Ariana Grande, she just might get that book.
And thank you to everyone involved in the making of this video.
