Pepper Pong: The Next New Padel Game: Our Review

Pepper Pong was the ideation of a few guys who had too much time on their hands in the 80s. Ping Pong was all the rage back then. And all the cool kids had a ping pong table in the garage or backyard. There was always one problem with the game, it was difficult to play if the skillsets between each players were not well matched.

Fast forward to last year, Tom Filippini a founder of three luxury based travel companies, made a  decision that his reckless drinking days were over and it was time to go sober. Pepper pong was the inception of his sobriety. And idea that was dreamed up from his youthful ping pong days from the 80s.

Pepper Pong is an upgrade to ping pong because it allows for players in multiple skill ranges to enjoy the game together. The trick? Different pong balls that have extreme bounce or medium or light bounce which makes the game easier to play for beginners to advanced players.

Not Pickleball

While Pepper Pong had zero to do with Pickleball, pros such as Paris Todd and Simone Jardim have fallen for the portable padel game and pickleball enthusiasts alike have found the easy to pack sport a go to for practice and indoor entertainment.

How To Play

The sport can be played on almost any surface. A point is won after every rally, regardless of who served. Each game is played first to 11, must win by 2 points. Play the best out of 3 Games or 5 Games to award match winner.

A Great Way To Avoid Screen Time

Traditional board, card and retro physical games like twister all help reduce screen time. Pepper Pong does a great job in being entertaining while also taking a break from phone time. And a digital detox can be a healthy way to bond with family.

Our Hot Take

Perfectly travel friendly, family and friend entertainment. A go anywhere game for pickleballers and ping pong lovers to take their game anywhere.
